Went to see the Jersey boys last night, booked VIP lounge as a treat, we were looked after from the moment we walked through the theatre doors by wonderful staff, and the same again in the VIP lounge before the show and in the interval, would defiantly book that again The show itself was fantastic we had a lovely night and would recommend both the show and the theatre.

User

We went to the relaxed performance of Madagascar today. The show was absolutely fantastic. So lively and funny, kept 3 kids entertained the whole way through. The theatre staff from start to finish were so friendly and helpful. My 3 year old niece was poorly part way through and the staff were so kind, couldn't do enough to help. Thank you so much for a wonderful day out and for making the whole experience from start to finish so stress free and relaxed.

User

We always have a great time at The New Alexandra Theatre and last night at Fat Friends The Musical was no exception. What a great show from start to end

User

Watched madagascar last night it was amazing my personal favourites was a very sassy Gloria and obviously king Julian from start to finish it was hilarious and very entertaining. Also special thanks to the people off the stage all the staff was very helpful friendly and really completed the night. I would definitely recommend to anyone x

User

Lovely theatre and staff cant so enough to help also very very pleasant. Been to see Summer holiday tonight, it was amazing x

User

Just got back from seeing Elvis, wow what a brilliant night, brought these tickets for my mom for xmas 2017, we have had a fantastic night, right from the time we walked in, staff very welcoming, we were in row A perfect, the whole show was amazing, only thing I didn't like was £6.90 for glass of wine but not going to let that bother me show was fab

User

I love this theatre. It's stunning inside and with the foyer being updated its just as beautiful before you go to your seats. I also love how they do cocktails now. Been here twice in the last week to see both Deathtrap & Awful Auntie and enjoyed both shows. I do prefer to sit in the stalls as i find the higher levels have much smaller leg room but i think from most seats you'll have a brillant view. The staff are lovely and always very helpful. They'll even show you where stage door is if you wish to stalk the stars afterwards! :)

User

Had a great night watching the Jersey Boys, staff were friendly and helpful ( one even took a group photo for us). Only problem was at the end of the night we were waiting for a taxi ( 3 females) and we had verbal abuse off a tramp because we wouldn't give him money. Very frightening.

User

Great show last night 12/6/18 summer holiday .

I would like to thank all the staff at the theatre who were all very kind looking after me when I had a dizzy spell during the show

User

Flashdance is an excellent show. Joanne Clifton and the cast were amazing and kept the dance energy going for the whole two hours. The music was incredible with songs we know from the film and some well crafted love songs. Joanne is a very accomplished singer. The grand finale was spectacular and they got the audience on their feet, hands in the air clapping til the very end.

User

Brilliant service from our ladies who checked on our well-being several times. Thank you ladies. Watching the Last Ship. Excellent production

User

Having been to this theatre eight times since the beginning of 2015, it’s a venue of Choice should a particular musical or play come to our attention.

The staff are friendly & helpful & for the shows we have seen so far the quality of the production is first class. As with all theatre’s the price of food & drink is too high, which is why I always bring my own.

User

Enjoyed legally blonde last night. The theatre is in a good position with plenty of parking very close. The theatre itself looks a little tired and could do with a refurb. Also very hot inside lacking air conditioning. The staff are fantastic and friendly and the idea if downloading an app to order ready for the interval is brilliant saving a lot of time. Very good night out and would return.

User

We had seats in the grand circle,we were squashed in like sardines no leg room what so ever ,I even considered not going back for the 2cnd half ,will not ever go to another show at the Alex,no matter how good it is ...

User

It’s a lovely theatre, been there lots of times however on our last visit, there was no running water, all toilets were blocked and it was freezing too. The staff didn’t appear to care. For the price you pay you don’t expect to sit there in your coat.

User

Great show watching David Baddiel. However on the coldest night of the year it would have been good if the theatre management had made an effort to provide adequate heating. Most of Audience sat in coats for the entire show. Not acceptable.

User

We went to see Physic Sally on Monday 20th November. Our night was spoilt by Rats/ or as the The New AlexanderTheatre would say mice running amongst the audience. A lady by me had a severe panic attack. I called a member of staff to help. The steward reply was.. " she would come back to us'. I'm still waiting for her to see if we are ok. I understand that the disturbance within the crowd was important. But at the time I thought the lady sat next to me was having a heart attack. Fortunately it turned out to be a severe panic attack.

I am on crutches and if the disturbance of the crowd became severe then I would have problems getting out.

The stewards in my opinion need more training....

I have never felt so vulnerable in my entire life

I have emailed and the reply was that we have the pest control coming in....

Well that's not our problem...

It should be done anyway

Not even a apology for a spoilt night xx

User

We really enjoyed the show,The Jersey Boys, however my personal visit was severely spoiled by the lack of legroom afforded by the seats,at 6ft 2ins I was constantly shifting position in an effort to be comfortable, sadly this was lmpossible.

It would seem that the theatre management are not aware of the fact that the average height of UK population has increased ( by approx 2 inches) over the past 50 years.

To summarise, a smashing show but a dreadfully uncomfortable theatre experience.

User

The show was very unprofessional- something you'd see at a working mans club. Only the last 10 minutes saved it really. Also, the theatre was absolutely freezing as the heating system was broken but the air con was on blowing out cold air .
