We have spent some superb days here over the bank holiday with great food, amazing service and despite how incredibly busy it was we never had to wait for drinks which enabled us to make the most of the fantastic weather. Without doubt the best pub in the area.

We had our first meal at the Anchor and it was excellent. Superb surroundings and service. So pleased to see a success being made of the new venture and we wish you all continued success in the future.

Best wishes

I went to the Anchor with my husband and our 13 month old daughter, and between us we had the buttermilk chicken and the gammon which were both delicious... even our daughter had some of it and she's quite fussy! Love the local ale on tap too. Service great, coffee nice too.

Had a lovely impromptu meal last night with my sister and partner. So glad that this pretty little pub by the river is on the up again.

We sat outside initially watching the boats go by on the river ...such a great spot!

The staff were attentive and the burger and chips and the Asian Squid was yummy!!

Fab place

Had Sunday lunch at The Anchor today, visiting my parents, and the food was great. Brilliant roasts, and cheese board we shared for dessert. Service also excellent, and little touches like the library of books customers can borrow, show this is a pub that the new owners are looking to make part of the community. Great that it's dog friendly too (in the bar - not restaurant, for those less fond of furry friends). Will be back!

Great food, and very friendly pub. I've eaten here once with my young children and another time with friends :) So lucky this is on our doorstep!

User

Fantastic roast will definitely be going again to try some other stuff on the menu & Fab service will definitely be recommending you

User

Fabulous new menu, particularly love the new ‘proper’ pie. Great portion size and value for money! All the waitresses were lovely and very welcoming. And the managers are great. Can’t wait to see the pub continue to grow and succeed !

Dropped in for lunch and quick taste for some good food and ale. Stayed for two hours and could have wished not to leave until after Christmas. My wife and self were served and attended to by the best mannered staff that I have had the pleasure to have met. Elenor and Laura could not do enough and really made our day complete. Thanks also to the new management. Wonderful “piggy in the piddle” , great food, wonderful terraced eating area overlooking the Avon. 10/10 ta loads.

Called in for lunch and commented on how nice the halloumi, roasted pepper, spinach and sun-dried tomato panini sounded. Being on a carb-free diet ruled it out, though. That was not a problem to the staff at The Anchor. They produced the sandwich without the bread and it was simply stunning. It looked so good! I wish I could attach a photo. 5* to all at The Anchor

As a first time visitor I visited The Anchor last week with friends and found a great pub serving excellent food with polite and engaging staff. The portion sizes and food quality represented great value for money and all in all it was a great experience. Will definitely be back. Many thanks

What a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. We were visiting friends who live on the river. The refurb is delightful and the food excellent. Three of our party had lamb shank and I had the beef. Great meat and very nice accompaniments! The others had the crumble which was perfect, and huge! The pub got it right for me as a Coeliac (gluten free) and a Lactose intolerant person. It can be tricky for me but they were attentive and they got it right. I cannot wait for the summer so we can sit outside on the extensive terrace to eat and drink. Oh, and they have an outside pizza oven! Lovely place with good service.

User

The place in clean tidy and inviting. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Menu is not extensive but it’s open all day which is great. We enjoy an early drink in the garden and a bite to eat. Garden is fantastic best river side setting I think in Worcestershire. Had good meals and one poor one but they gave us our money back without question can’t ask for me. Will we go back you bet we will

Great location, atmosphere, service and beers...just need to sort the Caribbean Lamb out. Michael Hughes came for lunch 18/5/18.
