No golden pippin - so disappointed😆

Really disappointed. Found this pub and thought it was a quiet oasis away from the general holiday makers pubs. Called in for a quick drink late-on, after a meal elsewhere and was asked if we wanted another drink at 22:45 as last orders were about to be called soon. I thought this was good and considetate. We bought another drink only for the TV to go off then the non speaking bar staff promptly started wiping tables and putting chairs upside down around us. Made us feel very unwelcome. We left our drinks and left the pub. The bar staff shouted "thank you". I had to tell her how I felt they had made us feel unwelcome but I'm sure she didn't care as long as she could get home early.

Fantastic pub with a great beer garden.. Really warm welcoming hosts who keep a great selection of ales and wide range of other drinks.

Called in last night with a friend. What a lovely pub this is right in the centre of the town. Huge selection of beers,lagers and cider on tap to choose from . I think I counted 15 different types.Not a beer drinker myself had a great Pimms . For a Tuesday evening was pleasantly surprised to see it as full as it was, but not crowded .Great atmosphere and friendly locals. Janette is a first class landlady, very genuine and welcoming, has the place so clean and well kept. Janette you should be very proud of what you have achieved since taking it over in the last 2 years . The outside sitting area is ablaze with flowers ,twinkling lights and makes for a comfortable place to sit outside. Will certainly visit again .
