Lovely local pub with fires to feel warm and cosy while enjoying your meal or drink. Friendly staff and few steps to bus stops.

Love this place. Always a warm welcoming atmosphere, and good food. Staff are always friendly and loving the gin selection.

Went for food yesterday had a really long wait burgers were burnt. Crisp lettuce was limp. I ordered carbonara with bacon mushroom and chicken. It was totally dry and the chicken came out separately 5 mins after the meal. Burgers were replaced but still burnt. We won’t be returning. Having said that though the lady on duty was very apologetic and helpful and knocked a substantial amount off the bill

We ordered food at 7.30pm yesterday, and were told it would take half an hour to get our food. A few of us had starters but it took until nearly 9pm for all of us to get our main courses. We were Hank! There were no attempts to warn us of the delay, and we only got an apology when we complained to the waitress.

Two weeks running the steak has been awful and I can't understand how you can mess chips up.



I would like to point out that I believe the beer lines need a clean, please taste and smell your Stella.

Unprofessional, carrying out a disciplinary interview out in the public area.

Disgraceful service. Went in to the pub yesterday at 4pm to book a group Festive Fayre celebration. Bearing in mind we went to them with our service. Waited at the bar ten minutes before a glum-looking barmaid appeared. We asked to book the table and handed over our filled-out form. We then got a blank look from the barmaid, who then proceeded to go to another man, an uninterested chap named 'Steve'. He mumbled something and she then returned, telling us we could not book it as the lady who takes the Christmas bookings (only ONE member of staff is capable of doing this simple task???) and that we'd have to come back in the morning, after 9am when she was working. Informing her that we couldn't make it in the morning, seeing as people have work commitments, she gave us yet another blank stare before telling us that we would "have to come back at another time" before just handing us back the sheet. We said we would come back at the same time next day, to be told by the barmaid that the Festive Fayre lady only works until 3pm. So, basically we were being told that we had to book this service at THEIR convenience, that we had to fall in line with their needs, and yet we are the customers trying to give them our custom and money. To say we were outraged by this is an understatement. Now we have to go in again, on my mum's dinner hour, just to suit them. I actually wanted to go to another place but everyone else wants to go out of convenience of the pub's location. If it were up to me, I'd tell the Apple Tree where to shove their dinner!!

Can't believe how awful the meal was last Saturday night. We've been regulars for the last 3 years and we had the worst meal ever. 6 of us had a mix of over cooked meals, raw eggs and missing items from meals. No barbecue sauce on hunters chicken, no eggs or pineapple and onion rings and burnt chicken curry!! Really disappointed!! Thanks to the manager for sorting it but still really disappointed. �
