We booked a table for a special birthday. Our waitress Georgy was attentive and friendly. A credit to you. The food was lovely. Definitely one to return to.

Lovely food, lovely staff. Couldn't fault it

User

I enjoyed the food, i had the chicken, leek and creme friesh pie with mash and runner beans. It was delishous! Staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely.

Would go again.

I booked on the day and managed to get a table at 3.30pm on Sunday. Had a lovely roast dinner and service was very good!

Every time I visit here I find the Staff really nice and helpful. We were early for our Booking but were shown to our Table straight away. Food always very good.

Disappointing meal. Avoid the ‘twice cooked chips’ - burnt, flabby and really unpleasant. The pizza was nice as was the venison. However, the chef had run out of pine-nuts, so threw a handful of peanuts on the meal instead...good job nobody in our party had a peanut allergy...

The bar staff were really helpful and understood our concerns...

Went there with my family to celebrate a special birthday. The venue is lovely but the service was not friendly. Avoid the double fried chips we all had them and they were cooked on the outside and hard in the middle, very disappointing. The waiters need to be more smiley and attentive checking if everything is ok.

My first visit to your pub no London Pride so I had a Doom Bar which I was happy with , Second round no Doom Bar and no Guinness and no Pride poor very disappointed one missing fair enough but not all three .

Eaten there twice now in 12 months - this last time being a buffet order. Staff have been great - no complaint there. Environment / decor is also really nice. Good size carpark.

Food is okay but nothing special. That would be fine if it didn't cost so eye watering much, given what you get - or rather don't get. The buffet was frankly one step short of being daylight robbery.

I had two tiny fingers of battered fish, two small handfuls of chips, two halves of a sandwich, 1 piece of pizza about the size of my iphone and then a finger sized wedge of cheescake and two chocolate brownie pieces each slightly larger than a PP9 smoke alarm battery. All presented food plates were emptied except for some dessert being left over as it was not to the taste of the group as a whole (not intended as a criticism - just that 5 of us didn't have a sweet tooth). As part of a group of 20 (inc 3 pensioners, 3 children under 12 and 6 drivers on soft drinks) total bill was circa £530 (circa £27/head - 3 of those being under 8-12 years old, 3 others in the 80's = small appetites.)

Even allowing for a few in the group having 3 alcoholic drinks each (my wife, daughter & I only had 1 drink each), this is still a huge bill for drinks and some measly finger food.

We all left feeling hungry - so much so that my wife and I had to stop at a MacDonald's for a Big Mac meal each and a happy meal for my daughter!

Really disappointing as the place otherwise shows such promise.

User

Very disappointed, ordered the fish and chips, the fish was awful very sloppy. Sent it back to be told it must have been too long in the fryer !!! Surely it would then be dry, more like frozen fish. Soooo decided to order the rib eye sandwich with chips, how would you like it medium please. Guess what we’ll done!!! The manager could not say much but apologise and take the meal off! Not good enough bad chef awful customer service.

User

Very annoying loud music on Thurs until 11PM.

Why on a Thurs night when lots of local residents have work the following day.

User

Unimpressed, meat was cold, vegetables were undercooked and seemed like pre-prepared bought in and not prepared on site. Service was excellent though.

User

Terrible service, cold food, the place needs new management urgently

User

Awful service! Half empty pub with dirty tables. Food arrived before our drinks and when questioned on it was told by the manager she has other drinks to make. I then asked for her name and she refused to give me her name telling me 'I don't need to know her name' on appearance it all looks lovely but they are trying to be something they are not. Clueless staff and 'ok' food. When asked by the waitress if everything was ok, I told her no and she walked off. Would not recommend. Much better eating places around!
