Where to start? Everything was great! Met up with some friends for a Sunday morning breakfast, lovely coffee and my favourite eggs Benedict royale breakfast. Delicious!

The building has been refurbished and looks modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and just the right amount of attention.

We will be returning.

Went there with some people from work tonight - loved it. Decor, staff, music, food and drink... all completely on point place was packed, staff werent over stressed and the whole place had a lovely Christmas buzz... booking for New Years Eve

User

We went to the lovely Arnos Arms yesterday evening with 12 kids for a birthday party. The staff were fantastic. It was a rrally lovely evening from start to finish. Food, atmosphere and all the fab games kept the kids entertained. Staff didn't mind the biys wondering around and watching the football on the big screens. They prepared his cake and brought out everything we needed. They were truly a happy helpful bunch. We all had a great meal. It was just so easy. Thank you Arnie Arms team!

User

The arnos is a friendley and just a very good place to go and have a drink right now and the food is great aswell

User

The Arnos Arms has so many great reasons to visit. The staff are all exceptionally lovely, the food is of extremely high quality, the interior design is warm and welcoming with a dog friendly atmosphere and warm log burning fire always lit. I could go on. It's the perfect place for coffee with friends, business meeting with clients, Friday night drinks or simply a relaxed venue to work on your laptop. I couldn't recommend this place more and will certainly be coming back.

User

Myself and 8 friends went to the bottomless brunch and this was defiantly one of the best bottomless brunches I have been to. The brunch menu available was great and we got extra glasses of frizzante whenever we wanted them. The choice of pastries was a bit of a divider with a tray of pain au chocolat or pain au raisin being brought out even tho more people wanted pain au chocolat than pain au raisin. Also they add a tip onto your bill so it is more than advertised. I don’t think either of these points are worth removing starts for a great bottomless brunch. I definitely want to go again!!

User

Love what they’ve done with the place. Food is amazing & never had any problems with it. A very good service even on busy days.

User

Have eaten here a couple of times now and really enjoyed it. Had a Christmas meal last night with friends and everything was great. Generous portion sizes, everyone loved their food and the service was great. Really friendly waiting staff. This area needs a good pub and it’s brilliant that we now have one!

User

Great food and staff with a nice atmosphere. I Particularly enjoyed Friday as i had had a tough week at work so i met my wife here as i commute from Arnos station and all the hassle of the week disappeared as we dinned at the AA. Beetroot cured salmon was wonderful followed by perfectly cooked Haddock and chips. A joy to dine at a pub with good food that is an independent. So pleased this isn’t a Harvester!

User

Great clean comfortable modern pub with excellent food and friendly staff - ideal

User

Went for my birthday on the 22nd October, waited a bit to get seated and took my own menu. We got a free starter with offer and 2 4 1 roast dinners they was nice, the chicken roast was good my husband said, the beef I had was a bit tough. Large portions so was filling. Service was ok. Would maybe try again, atmosphere was nice it was not too busy at the time so that helped.

User

Very nice place they serve there drinks very well the look good and taste good my only crib was the lack of discipline of some parent , watching yes watching there children pick the flowers from the lovely plant display and thrown on the floors.

New Southgate has long been a pub desert, so when I heard that the Arnos Arms was changing hands and reopening as a proper pub, I thought I should try it out at the earliest opportunity. A friend and I visited during the afternoon on Monday (when we both had days off), and I expected it to be very quiet, but were pleasantly surprised by the presence of other customers.

The selection of real ales is well chosen, if a little restricted; and the beer itself is very well kept, to judge by the pints of Purity Ubu we had. The staff are both engaging and professional in their approach, and the interior is decorated to a very high standard. The only reasons I'm not giving a five star review here are: (a) some of the 'craft' beers on offer were priced...shall we say ambitiously? and, (b) neither of us had food, so I couldn't put the kitchen to the test.

All in all, a very welcome addition to New Southgate!

User

We went today, two adults and two children for lunch. There was a noisy business lunch being catered for in the area away from the restaurant and this seemed to have the main attention of the bar and waiting staff. All staff we came into contact with were polite and friendly but the service was painstakingly slow and we had to keep asking for things like menus, water, to order dessert etc. Our starters of whitebait and garlic bread to share were very good, particularly the aioli accompaniment. The sirloin steak mains were flavoursome but hardly melt in the mouth and the kids' chicken goujons so bland no-one could eat them. The kids' sausage and mash was tasty. The waitress said we wouldn't be charged for the chicken. The three desserts were okay and the espresso good. We thought it was pricey for what it was. Nice looking place, but would hesitate to eat there again.

User

I went here for bottomless brunch with party of 10. The pub was nicely decorated pub with industrial feel. Service was slow to begin with. One bottle was insufficient to half everyone's glass at the same and there was a wait before the second bottle arrived by which time the other half of the group had finished their half glass. Providing 2 bottles at a time for large groups would make for a better experience. The food was good, although not much choice if you're a vegan/vegetarian. Not keen on dogs in pubs either.

User

I have been a few times. It's an attractive family pub. The staff are very polite. Unfortunately the food needs a bit of work. The fish was bland and I got the sticky toffee pudding which I couldn't eat as it was bitter. I'm sure you guys will sort out the food. Once again the pub had a lovely feel to it, the atmosphere was great and the staff were inviting and pleasant.

User

Food was very nice for a roast. I’d go again. However, the decor is a bit odd, not cosy and comfortable at all and I didn’t appreciate the 12% gratuity automatically being added on to my bill so I asked for it to be removed. Why? Because apart from being brought our food (cutlery late), there was no table service. We were up at the bar every time to get drinks. That’s a CHEEKY move that no doubt a lot of people will miss when settling their bill.

User

Delicious chips but disappointingly they ran out of water and stayed open so only had hand sanitizer in the toilets!!! And plastic glasses (not good on the environmental side of things!)

User

Very disappointed with the service, food and atmosphere. Although the trout was tasty mine still appeared to have a few bones. The vegetable selection consisted on greens, beans and peas and was not tasty at all. Would have preferred an unlimited salad bar as the Harveter used to have. Did not feel friendly or comfortable at the long tables, and was somewhat noisy, and was not aware it was.a dog friendly pub especially as one white terrier was practically on the table of one couple who was bottle feeding a baby. Very unhygienic . The toilets were not very clean. Totally dissatisfied and sorry that the Harvester has moved away. Unfortunately will not be visiting again.
