Trying to think positively and towards the future, I wanted to start up a Thank you pledge system at Sancerre for all those people who are working in the NHS and other essential key workers in our local community that are keeping us safe, keeping deliveries coming, transport systems and a whole host of others whilst we are staying safe at home.
So, all you need to do is comment with a persons name and what you pledge for them from anything we offer - and then when all this c...raziness is over and we are open again, they can receive their pledge indulge in their thank you, have a chance to actually relax and enjoy themselves and hopefully celebrate it all with friends, when we can all meet up again.
You don't have to pay anything now, just pledge and when we reopen you can pay for what you have pledged and we will create a tab for people with their pledges so that they can grab their pledge whether it be a coffee, cake glass or bottle of wine when they want to.
Also, if you just to want pledge for a friend whom you are missing seeing then we can do that too as I'm sure we all miss the catch up coffee or laughs over a beer so, if you want to pledge a round in advance we can do that too.
I will start off the first pledges of people I know who are working through this, for us and for those I would like to hug in person when we can!

Dear friends and customers yesterday was our last day of opening so thank you everyone for all the kind words and support in these very strange times and when it is safe to do so we will let you know when we will reopen.
We have had the opportunity to say bye over the last week to many of lovely customers but we feel that even takeout or delivery is not safe for you, our community and certainly our staff so closed completely yesterday.
We wish everyone well and to stay saf...e and that we all try and see and use this time although hard, as an opportunity to reflect and refocus on life and family.
Mothers Day is a great day for this as we all do have a Mum here or passed, have people in our lives who are like mothers to us, are a mum ourselves, about to be one, or maybe want to be one day and so is all about family.
Life can be difficult and hard at any time but more so just now but for once the daily grind of life is lessened due to isolation, bills etc won't go away but there is support. But time you can never get back so my best gift today is time with my two kids whom like any parent are the reason you do it all and keep doing it every day.
