What a fantastic find and an unusual place to have a coffee but it has to be done. The coffee was wonderful and the food looked amazing. Will visit again for sure.

Was really surprised when I was told about this place, the food looked lovely but I decided just on a coffee which went down a treat, I will definitely be going back

Was here yesterday with husband and son who has been before, what a truly quirky place!

The small size of this place makes it all about the timing in getting a seat, but if you have to wait then it is all worth it. The coffee was excellent and I can highly recommend the orange polenta cake. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. A wonderful find will return soon.

TBH I went here primarily for the novelty factor but also because from their website they were serious about great coffee. The makeover from public toilet is amazing and I loved my 'pour over'. Def worth it for the coffee alone

Such a cool place to eat and have a drink! Staff are super polite, they even allowed to charge my phone while I ate there. Food delicious and polenta cake was amazingly good!

Something a bit different - I had the Indian spiced cauliflower and it was amazing - staff are really sound and the whole location is just class! A must visit!

Quirky place, underground in a public toilet. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with time to explain the business and the products. The coffee was SUPERB! Give it a go!

Poached eggs on with bacon (or salmon) with smashed avocado on toasted bread cakes and watercress... amazing! Eggs poached to perfection plus great coffee with so many homemade cakes it was tough to choose!

My wife and I are coffee addicts. We love to sample a cup wherever we go. I first learnt about The Attendant on a TV news report and decided then that I would try to visit the place one day. Not disappointed in any way. Great experience. Lovely coffee and especially lovely cakes. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I visited the attendant after researching quirky places to visit on London. Loved how various features of the old underground toilet had been kept, even if it does feel a little weird that your eating your breakfast in an old undetground loo! Lol. Our breakfast was so tasty and set us up for the day. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it! X

I randomly found this place while I was wandering around Fitzrovia getting pictures of the BT tower. Such a quirky place made from an old public toilet. I sat in the urinal (such a weird thing to say) and had a coffee while looking at my touristy pics I'd just taken. Had interesting information on its conversion to a café space on the walls. The kiwi barista recognised my accent and struck up a conversation and was super friendly and they were playing Tame Imapala to cap it all off. Win!! Defiantly have to come back when I make the 25 hour flight back to London!

Best iced latte I've had in a long while! 3 cheese toastie is incredible, plus the staff are super friendly and helpful. GO!!

User

AWESOME!! I found details quite by accident after my friend asked to go "somewhere unusual". The coffee great, and the salted caramel brownies are to die for.

Wanted to get here for a while, great I was able to take a friend who was visiting London. Friendly staff despite them being flat out. And a very very tasty bacon roll (which was way nicer than your average bacon roll) good quality coffee too.

My son and I visited here one Saturday a few weeks back..we liked the quirky features and underground layout. Well done for restoring this old building and creating such an imaginative place. Only had a soup and a brew but it was delicious and served promptly. Would visit again and have a proper meal next time...only gripe is we couldn't find the toilet!

User

Lovely coffee, small cups though! Great place to get away from London streets. Will be back to try some food soon.

User

Good fun here! Nice to see some genuine old fittings used in a fun way. Coffee & cake all good too!

Quirky venue. Liked what I had but no rush to go back although would go if I was in the area again. Cakes were tasty. Coffee - too small.

I’m a kiwi here in the UK on holiday. Got a train and walked a distance to grab a flat white at this cafe as I had heard they were excellent. Sadly they are cashless and won’t take your coins or notes. There’s a sign I discovered outside that says they don’t like the new plastic money notes so will only accept payment with a card. When you’re a tourist and get charged high fees coupled with conversion rate fees using your card overseas to pay means the small flat white ends up coming in at well over £10. Ridiculous. Waste of my time tracking this place down. Disappointing
