The Babes

The Babes play hardcore punk with bagpipes, based in London playing awkward music and hot as fuck, that's why our band is called like that. Join us, spread the world and see you in the pit!

The Babes is a 4 piece Hardcore-punk-Crust-Celtic-rock DIY line up formed in 2015 and based in London. The guys met in the IMW sound engineering school: A group of misfits that wanted to play Pogue’s type of music that bred in a garage in Twickenham, and before too long The Babes were delivered.

They play snotty, two fingers in the air Hardcore Punk Rock with bagpipes, bringing together Colombian, North American and UK backgrounds and featuring ex-touring members of punk legends Total Chaos and Blitz.

Their released single "Tomorrow Seems So Far Away" took them to their first tour "The Babes invade Mainland Europe" where they had the opportunity to visit France, Germany, Belgium & Holland.

The Babes self-released their debut album "Greetings from London" engineered, produced, mixed and mastered at IMW Studios by Mao Holiday with the support of Colin Smith, David Clark Allen, and Sean Bartle. Right after, The Babes toured Paris, Brittany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, and Spain.

In February 2018, Marvin left The Babes. Since then until August 2nd, they played with Steve, which joined the band on their Fourth European mini-tour where they played in Bretagne, Paris, and Mauriac. Later in July, The Babes went on their 5th European Mini-Tour called "Only Life We Know! " where they Toured Germany, Holland, Belgium and played Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.


In August 16th, Alberto "Animal" joined the band on drums. Also, The Babes are introducing their 4th band member: Adriano "Toxic Waste" who joined the band on guitars since November 16 /2018, being part of their ONLY LIFE WE KNOW TOUR 2019, having the chance to play in the UK, Belgium, Ireland, and France.

The Babes have been sharing the stage with The Varukers, Peter and the test tube babies, Warwound, Icons of Filth, Disorder, Agathocles, The Restarts, The Kids, Disturbance, Blatoidea, Acidez, Breakout, Hagar the Womb, Nausea Bomb, Lobotomia, Left for Dead, Jabul Gorba, Grand Collapse, Rabies Babies and, many others.

The Babes have been playing at Rebellion Festival, Bearded Theory's Spring Gathering Festival 2019, Morecambe Punk Festival, Convoy Cabaret, No Dirty Rules Fest, Strive for Live Fest, Borderline Fest, and many other festivals.

​The Babes released in September 2019 "LITERALLY A SINGLE" an EP that contains two songs: CONDEMNED, recorded in London by Life of Strife Productions at Overdrive Studios, mixed, produced and mastered by Mao Holiday and ONLY LIFE WE KNOW. You can purchase it on their website, that way 100% of the money will be towards their next album, instead of supporting Spotify or iTunes, where the band will get few cents per song sold (Thanks for supporting us! ).

​The Babes will be going to America, where they are going to do their "NO MAMES WEY TOUR, MEXICO 2019 starting December 6 until the 16! The Babes will be playing a couple of gigs with TOTAL CHAOS and MIGRAÑA SOCIAL.
