If you want great food while visiting Northumberland, try this comfortable table service venue. Tasty food at mid price.

This venue's strength is its location and stunning views out over to Holy Island and down the Northumberland coast to Bamburgh. The coffee is fine and the food is good. Customer service is friendly although disagreements between other staff members shouldn't be something customers see. Otherwise a lovely place well worth the visit! Recommended very highly.

We had a fabulous meal and the ladies that served it were fantastic. We are now on the campsite in our motor home and the views are wonderful and with the peace and quiet it is all food for the soul. Thank you!

Staying here for 2 nights in a motor home. Quite expensive but has potential to be very good. Facilities good enough but insufficient for a site which hosts tents (2 loos for ladies unless cafe/restaurant is open). Other than this we're very pleased. Lovely welcome. Outstanding views. Great location for Holy Island. And we were fortunate to be here when restaurant was open (Fri and Sat evenings) - excellent meal - can happily recommend that anyone staying on these nights takes advantage - ring and book a table - we were very lucky to get in as it's very popular.

We called in here for some dinner by recommendation from our B&B just down the road. I was unsure as it looked rather commercial from the outside and there was the camp and caravan site but I was so wrong. We ate in the Bothy Bar which is quite small but intimate and nicely decorated.
I was pleased to find that they offered senior portions on several dishes. I chose the quiche of the day which was asparagus, mushroom and tarragon. A little unsure if I liked tarragon I was again proved wrong. It was delicious and the tarragon really set it off but was not overpowering.
The Bothy allows dogs which was a bonus.
My daughter had the burger which was enormous and well cooked. We would certainly recommend it and we will visit again when we can. Thanks

A pretty decent place for lunch if you're visiting Holy Isle.

Having passed here many times we finally popped in today on way back to Holy Island. Lovely place with big terrace overlooking the island. Dogs made very welcome on the terrace.
Lovely hot chocolate and coffees, maybe a tiny bit expensive but the setting and quality of The Barn make the price more than acceptable.

Great place for lunch, delicious coffee and friendly staff. The views towards the sea are amazing and there is even an outside play-area for little ones. Highly recommended!!!
