At The Basement, we offer a safe and welcoming environment for our homeless clients to come and access training, 1-2-1 support and group work.

Our services include:

Street Outreach - If you are concerned about a street drinker and you want our support team to go out - please call us on 0151 707 1515 and inform us of the exact location and time you saw them.

Hospital Outreach - we are part of an Award-winning Specialist Provision with The Royal Hospital where one of our Outreach Workers are based Mon-Fri to ensure there is on-site support for anyone with Housing issues.

Drop-In: Between 10am-4pm and 5. 30-9pm our clients who are rough sleeping can come to the Drop-In to use the Laundry, Kitchen, Toilets and Shower facilities. We also have a comfortable lounge area where they can make themselves a cup of tea, have a nap or just relax.

Training: Our clients can access courses such as Employment or Enterprise support, we have a Hope Club on every Thursday 2. 30-4pm to support clients looking to access training, education, volunteer work or employment. Other activities include: Computer courses, Dance, Creative Writing, Creative Design. We run highly subscribed Accredited Peer Mentor and Volunteer courses for those wanting to prepare to become a Volunteer or give back to their Peers through further training and support. These Peers are now going on to deliver Harm Reduction courses around the City. Please get in touch if you want to attend a course or are a Hostel or other service who may benefit from our Peers delivering one of our courses in your venue.

Medical Treatment Room: In partnership with The Brownlow Group Practice, The Basement is able to offer our clients access to a Leg Ulcer Nurse and a General Nurse within the building.

Counselling: We have a person-centered accredited Counsellor who is able to provide support to our clients in crisis or provide a listening ear to our clients in need.

HUB Service: Housing Advice between 3-9pm, in partnership with The Whitechapel Centre who cover the 9am-3pm shift in their premises.

Training: We offer accredited courses in Peer Mentoring and Volunteering as well as a range of workshops and classes hosted at The Basement by our partners.
