The Bay Horse Inn, Hatfield Description
The Bay Horse Inn is situated on the A19, at the heart of the village of Hatfield, in South Yorkshire, close to the historic Parish Church of St. Lawrence.
A popular venue with both locals and visitors alike we have all the things a traditional English pub should have, friendly welcoming staff, a good range of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic and we serve delicious home made food everyday of the week, including our special Sunday Lunch menu.
The overall feeling from guests at this delightful 19th century inn is of a warm friendly atmosphere and great value for money.

Parking is available to the rear of the pub or in the Public Car Park adjacent to the Church with a short walk through the church grounds to the pub. Public transport is easily accessible with bus stops just yards away.

The Great Bay Horse Bake Off Let's Get Ready To crumble
The 2018 Great Bay Horse Bake Off August 27th (Bank Holiday)
... Yes, it's time once again to dust down those rolling pins, clean the chopping boards and search around the cupboards for a clean baking tray..... the bake off is back !! As usual there will be an auction in the pub afterwards with all proceeds going to charity.
All baking must be registered in The Barn (rear of the pub) from 12:30pm and no later than 1:30pm Judging will commence at 1:45pm. Please note, the door will be locked at 1:35pm prompt.
The barn will reopen approximately 3pm for viewing, with a charity auction commencing around 3:45pm. This year's baking categories are as follows:-
4 corned beef based pasties / rolls A sponge cake involving mint (any cream filling) 10 Decorated Shortbread Biscuits (Children Awards Section) 10 Bakewell Slices “Yorkshire” (this is a creative section, bake anything but you must be able to link it to our very own County of Yorkshire) *remember it will be auctioned later.
Competitors can only submit one entry into each category. The judges’ decision is final - adults and children able to enter to all categories, however, the shortbread category will have separate child winners.
As usual there will be rosettes for the winners, along with most unique baker and star baker awards. Free to enter, however all competitors must every effort to attend the auction in order to collect the rosettes.
Baking doesn't get any more exciting than this.
