Had a wander to Woodend Art gallery last week. What a beautiful place, just hidden behind the Crescent hotel on the south side of town. Well worth a visit, they have some amazing local art work (some of which we bought for our place!) and they regularly hold music events. The conservatory has elevated views and is perfect for enjoying a brew at the newly relocated Yay Coffee! We really are spoilt for choice here in Scarborough. Why not book a stay? So our family room sleeps 5 so of course it got a bit of a battering over the Summer!Alec and I spent all this week giving it some TLC😘
Fully repainted walls, sanded and glossed skirts, door frames and bathroom door from dark wood to white, carpet cleaned and we sanded off the dark dado rails to a lovely more natural wood then clear varnished them! carpet cleaned and smelling fresh! Phew!
All set up ready for this weekends guests💪🏻... Remember book direct for the best prices. This room already has lots of bookings for 2019 as it’s really popular with families.

Today is National Refill Day! Lots of places in Scarborough are signing up to refill your water bottle for FREE from now on! When you stay please refill your water in the rooms- the water is perfectly fine to drink!

a lovely place to stay. the owners have thought of everything in their rooms which are very clean and extremely comfortable. breakfast was excellent and I was very impressed with the choice again everything that you could possibly need. we go home feeling very relaxed and well looked after and will definitely be back next year but next time we will bring our children.

What a lovely place we have found in The Beaches.

My son and I booked last minute for one night over the Bank Holiday weekend in August which meant we woke up there on his 8th birthday. I had brought some balloons and a cake and asked if it was ok to decorate our breakfast table for him. Alec and Jules took charge of the whole thing, decorating a table for us and even adding banners plus a card and little present. It topped off a perfect little getaway.

The B&B itself is gorgeous, both outside and in. Our room had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. We'd never been to Scarborough before and was expecting Blackpool but colder! How wrong I was. It is beautiful and our stay at The Beaches enhanced it for me. I feel very lucky to have found it and would definitely recommend it and will be going back soon.

There’s lots of walks and pet friendly bars close by to chose from.

We've just returned from a three night stay at The Beaches and can only agree with what others have already said. It's what a real English B&B should be, warm, welcoming, spotlessly clean, hearty breakfast and fabulous hosts Jules & Alec who could not do enough for us. They also spoil their guests with Netflix, high speed Wi-Fi, Parking Permits and they welcome pets too. Location is great, only a few minutes walk from a lovely park, which is currently undergoing a facelift, and a highly rated fish and chip shop which we sampled one night, and typical of Jules she told us to use the dining room, cutlery etc. to eat them rather than take them up to our room. They were delicious. We would not hesitate in recommending The Beaches to anyone and look forward to our next stay. Thanks again, Karl, Jan, Josh (and Vinnie)

We have just visited the beaches for the first time,what can I say,this is a hidden gem in Scarborough,everything was perfect,from shower gels & all the little perks in your room,the rooms were lovely & very accommodating as we had a small child,everything was there go us,breakfast was great,what can I say I wish we had discovered this place earlier,as a family we will definitely come back & I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Scarborough,the hosts could not do enough for us,thank you beaches for our lovely stay x���

We come here every year with our two children! It's the most amazing B&B in Scarborough. The service from start to finish is incredible!! Amazing breakfast and the owners 'Gibson' are so friendly and super professional x

This place is absolutely amazing- the hosts are absolutely lovely! Nothing is too much trouble. The little details in the room were fantastic- an electric fan was provided for if it got too hot. Radiators we're adjustable in case you were cold. Cork screw and bottle opener provided along with wine glasses. Tea and coffee were provided in individual jars - there were also ear plugs provided! Breakfast was amazing. The bed was really comfortable too - and when we thought our dog sitter had let us down and I rang to see if we could change our booking - they said just bring her along. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous - 10/10 from us!!! Thank you so much xxxx

Stayed at the beeches this weekend very friendly, couple could not do enough for us , met us at the door welcomed us carried our bags for us to our room , our room was lovely spotless clean , breakfast was fabulous choice given , our little dog was welcome , I would definitely recommend this b&b to all my family and friends and we will be using this as our regular one now for Scarborough , absolutely made our weekend special as the b&b was lovely and got to add your made to feel welcome �

Second time we have stayed. Me and my boys love this place. Alec and Jules are very accommodating. They have made their own mark on the place since taking over. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Great place to stay

Lovely place to stay, clean warm rooms and yummy breakfast. Jules and Alec are extremely welcoming and even more understanding even when your dog invades breakfast uninvited ! Highly recommended 😉

Just arrived back after a 3 day stay at The Beaches B&B. Lovely welcome, lots of information and a beautiful, spacious room with a very comfortable, king-size bed. Had a lovely cooked breakfast that you were allowed to choose including vegetarian option. Never stayed in the North Bay before but we prefered it. Our little dog Oscar loved his stay. We will definitely stay again.

First time staying here and it was fab. Such lovely proprieters. Lovely breakfast. Lovely room. They put a large fan in there as we picked the perfect weekend for weather.

Love their english bully Arthor too. Stunning dog and such a softie.

The owners even left a birthday card and a lovely bar of chocolate for my hubby. Lovely touch.

Fantastic hotel lovely and clean fab location really cosy and comfortable staff very helpful breakfast was unreal and nothing was any trouble plenty of choice and dining room was very comfortable fresh modern and airy would deffinately recommend this hotel the couple are lovely very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic b&b and hosts, great atmosphere . As a family of 5 it was our 1st stay hear in Scarborough it was amazing nothing was to much trouble lots of advice of places to visit. The room was very spacious for us all and beds were amazingly comfortable. Little touches with tv, coffee, tea facilities in our room was fab with having a little one. Lots of things to do and see within walking distance. We will definitely be staying hear again and would definitely recommend this little gem. Thank you for our relaxing weekend away it was just what the doctor ordered xx
