The Bedford Hotel

Went for a family meal. Really good, catered for dietary requirements (Vegan etc). Pleasant staff, reasonable price, would visit again.

Had morning coffee in bar very pleasant surroundings good price

Great old world hotel. Genuine period features and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel restaurant is amazing and was a welcome distraction from the aches of an entire day cycling in the area. Rambling layout with various bars and ante-rooms to explore and relax. Highly recommended this place.

Apart from the room being a little hot, this was a very nice stay.
The hotel is centrally located, housed in an old ramparted manor house overlooking the river on one side and the chapel on the other.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was the best breakfast I've had buffet.
First class.

Fabulous coffee but found the menu expensive and very limited for children. The service was extremely prompt and polite though.

Not a bad place, but the rooms at the front have the original single paned glass and so its like there are no windows. Not ideal when its on a main road!

I had experienced the fantastic hospitality of the hotel as I came across a male collapsed on the floor outside the hotel and whilst caring for him and awaiting the ambulance, the hotel staff came out and offered their help including providing blankets, a first aid kit and even offering us tea. An amazing effort considering going they were not obliged to help.
