Visit this pub once a year as Peterborough is a half way point for my friend and I to meet Have been going for a good few years now It's a great pub great and friendly staff terrific food at reasonable prices. There's always a varied choice on the menu. I had the sea bass with med veg and feta yesterday It was gorgeous. Look forward to my next visit when I'm in Peterborough

User

Spent New Years Eve here for the second year running. As with last year everything was fantastic, the food, atmosphere and the music played by Steve Allan was the best. Great night of eating, drinking and dancing. Cant wait until NYE 2017. A big thank you to all those staff who worked tirelessly to make it the success it was.

User

Lovely place great staff most enjoyable afternoon.

Last night we held a private party for my husbands 50th birthday at The Beehive. We cannot thank Lauren, Andrew and the team at The Beehive enough. we had the most amazing night. They were incredibly accommodating, decorating the pub for us to celebrate his birthday. The food was beautiful and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. The Beehive is a lovely venue and I would recommend it to s our friends as the perfect venue for a party.

Thank you all once again for an amazing night.

Ps... Lauren thank you also for saving my crippled feet with your birkenstocks x

Just had a 3 course meal here this afternoon, and wow wow wow all compliments to the chef. That's what I call a very tasty dinner, cooked and prepared just right. If I wanted to pick fault I couldn't, a brilliant meal. We had jumbo King prawns for starters ( the best I've ever had right down to the dip), roast beef dinner and then apple tart and cheese board for dessert. We had a 3 course meal at Marco pierre whites restaurant in London last weekend which was no different than going to the apple cart, and it doesn't come anywhere close to the beehive, will defo be coming back again 110%

User

I have been to The Beehive 3 or 4 times. Each time I have gone there the food has been delicious. The service has been quick and prompt. I would recommend the place to anyone and would look forward to going back there again !!!

Had my husbands 50th here and absolutely love the Beehive. Vibe is very trendy and relaxed and Lauren is amazing. Her attention to detail and customer service is outstanding. The fish and chips are delicious and am loving the open mic nights! Fab place

User

Had a fab meal with friends on Saturday night, very welcoming staff and a great menu to choose from including specials board. I chose the Scampi which was beautiful and came with a scrummy tartar sauce. We all had a great evening and highly recommend the Chocolate tart to finish! Well done Beehive, we’ll be sure to come back soon.

User

Great pub, great food from the chippy attached. Probably best pub in Peterborough.

User

Great place. Very welcoming and comfortable environment, nice wines and a good range of tasty fish and chips on the menu. Excellent service from the friendly and helpful team

User

Excellent Christmas meal last night. All 3 courses were superb, service was first class and easily the best meal out at any restaurant/pub i have had for a very long time. Will certainly visit again!

User

Came to The Beehive for the first time for Sunday Lunch with my boyfriend, my son, his wife and our granddaughter - excellent food - one of the best roast dinners I have eaten in a restaurant. One blip on our order but sorted out and deduction taken from our final bill. Will definately go back again

User

We had a birthday party for my daughter. The staff were great, even gave them some cake. We had the roast chicken and some had roast beef. Chicken all good but the beef was a bit naff. A fair bit of gristle sorry if I have spelt that wrong, running through all of ours. Apart from that great.

User

Lovely food, but a child's sausage and mash is £6 n literally that's all he got, no vegetables which should be a main part of a child's meal I think. I also had the sausage n mash and in both meals the sausage was very dry inside. Other than that excellent will be coming back soon

User

Had trouble where to park the car. Ended up some way away.

Pub was very noisy and our dining table was in direct line of it.

Food was very good but bit expensive and staff did their best on a busy night.

User

Service was really poor, nearly empty restaurant, waitress chatting nearly pub, we had to order drinks over pub, then desert, as didn't bowered, to come to table, atv least food was nice. But was quit pricy.

User

Upon arrival, the old cosy atmosphere had gone, instead greeted by guys lounging across the new settee's with there feet on the tables and chairs. Nice.

We ordered pie of the day and mash (£12), sounds good.

We got a beef Pukka pie and Smash. A pukka pie!

The fish and scampi was second rate, and the chip shop chips were over cooked with 50 shades of brown chips. Absolutely disgusted.

The doors in to the restaurant now enclose it and makes the place feel small and unwelcoming.

Then allow these doors to swing open every couple of minutes as drinks are bought from the bar, banging into my chair, and bringing a gust of cold air.

What a shame that this has now become a very poor fish and chip restaurant and takeaway.

Also annoying that people who buy from the takeaway, then walk through the restaurant (did i say it was small) and into the main bar area. Not so personal.

The Beehive, pre-facelift, was one of the best restaurant's in Peterborough, with many home made classics and signature deserts, and was a delight to visit.

Sadly it is not now, food quality has dropped 5 stars, and frankly there are better and cheaper fish and chip restaurant's locally available.

User

The Beehive was our favourite restaurant in Peterborough, we had all kinds of celebrations with the latest being my husbands birthday... We were very apprehensive about the change as there was no way it could be topped and we were right!! Saturday afternoon we pulled up into Asda car park as I opened the car door I could hear lots of males shouting on looking over in the direction of the pub door I recognised the local Posh football 'hooligans' fighting! Sadly we didn't make it out the car, totally put off.
