Went here for a spa break with my boyfriend, stopped for one night, and will 1000% be coming back, the staff are lovely, a blonde receptionist at check in( don’t know her name) asked why we were attending and after I explained it was my birthday she gave us complimentary drinks tokens and some discount for particular restaurants at the hotel, she was so welcoming and actually really interested in engaging with us, the treatments are good and the food was lovely aswell!!

User

We went as 2 couples, men golfing, women in the bar/Spa.

First impressions... Excellent and that didn't change. I am in a wheelchair and the only gripe I had was that there was one disabled toilet and all the other toilets were a long way away. Lots of ramps everywhere. Staff were helpful in making sure I was comfortable and looked after. The spa was lovely. Good relaxation room, I fell asleep for an hour, spa staff friendly, knowledgeable about the products. Excellent treatments and after care advice. It was the best deep tissue massage I've ever had! The men thoroughly enjoyed the golf and us ladies enjoyed our time sitting on the terrace, drinking and waiting for the men to come back. Meals were all very good and couldn't grumble. We will be back!!!

User

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here on Sunday. It all went very well and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were in the Worcester Suite a lovely room just big enough for our party of 28 and the food was great everyone enjoyed it and the staff were very friendly.

User

Was disappointed with my afternoon tea purchased for me by my brother for my birthday the sandwich fillings were poor..two of the sandwiches had gone hard. The tea was supposed to be tea leaves when I used the strainer there was hardly any in there the tea was like water very disappointed. I have stayed at the belfry and had a very enjoyable experience but sadly I will not be in a hurry to recommend the afternoon teas.

User

Our first stay at the hotel, greeted with a free room upgrade to celebrate our engagement .. lovely touch. Fire & ice spa mind blowing!! Food spectacular!! All staff very attentive & pleasant. Facilities are fantastic.. little extras like Nespresso coffee pod machine in room was a welcome Luxury when relaxing on our balcony looking over the golf course. Can’t wait to stay again

User

I have been to the Belfry hotel and spa with 3 other friends for a birthday celebration spa treatment fire and ice it and over night stay it was fantastic but the spa area need more pools and more space meal was very expensive and the main I did not enjoy it, however the manager was so polite and caring when we told him about the main he discounted us the staff was excellent the place is very clean the drink was, also expensive but overall I will go again. the night club top it off good music electric atmosphere massive golf area love it brilliant fantastic.

User

Attended a golf day & dinner dance on Sunday May 13th’ 2018, I had the misfortune to have a fall on the golf course the response and care given by the golfing team/ staff was excellent I want to say thank you for looking after me. In the evening the dinner was excellent the banquet staff were excellent the ambiance and feel of the hotel are set to make you relax. I recommend that you take the opportunity to enjoy all the resort has to offer.

User

A group of us stayed overnight which included the Motown tribute night with 3 course meal, belaire nightclub, Buffett breakfast, treatments and spa day. We all left feeling fantastic and agreed this is a venue you would recommend and come back to again! We couldn’t get over how large the venue is, it is very luxurious and caters for everyone! The staff were brilliant and I would even recommend this for a group and romantic getaway. Loved the spa and Fire&Ice was amazing. Definitely give this venue 5*.

User

Pleasant day, my treatment (Swedish full body) was very good, the spa and Fire and Ice experience was brilliant. The afternoon tea was nice but the cakes were a little dry.

All the staff were lovely apart from one very rude lady who almost walked into us as we were just mere mortals who were not worthy!

User

Played the derby course 3pm Sunday afternoon as a two ball we wasn’t held up until the 15th hole which was good going considering some of the reviews I’ve read, we played the pga course at 10-40 Monday morning and we paired up with another two ball to make a four ball which proved to be a good idea as we weren’t held up at all throughout the round, the courses were in very good condition .. the beer and food were very pricey tho, but I guess that’s the norm for a place like this

User

Had the Sunday package, lunch, room, breakfast and fire n Ice.

The lunch wasn't up to its usual quality, empty and missing veg containers and staff just said 'Ran Out'

It was very very busy and so I wouldn't be put off going again.

We were with best friends and had a lovely time made nicer with the hot weather.

My husband is a leisure member of over 20 years but we had never stayed overnight.

Our room was super but the entrance area( conservatory )really needs attention.

As others have said TLC needed in quite a few places.

We had been for afternoon tea before and because of our experience would not recommend it or go again because of poor service even when it was empty, which is a shame because my friends and I would use it often.

We did all come away wanting to go back again though .

User

Brilliant staff and well looked after, course was great but the prices are a little crazy, £2.50 for a bottle of water that probably cost 30p for them to buy. £6.15 for one can of cider that are 80p in the shops...you make enough money perhaps make the drinks reasonably priced.

User

3 excellent golf courses, 4th year in a row here with 31 other golfers. Accommodation first class. The only moan about the Belfry is that the drinks and food are a massive rip off, I know hotel prices are high but the Belfry takes it to another level, even to the drinks cart on the course 4.50 for a small can of beer, 2.00 for a small bottle of water. Sutton Coalfield is close by and has several bars and restaurants at ‘normal’ prices, suggest you go there.

User

The hotel are rooms are OK, but could do with a freshen up. The golf is obviously incredible, but the prices are equally incredible, but I appreciate you get what you pay for.

That said, having paid £250 for a couple of rounds of golf and 1 night's accommodation, I found everything else to be massively over priced. £13.50 for 3 teas seemed bad enough, but the icing on the cake was being charged £8 for 2 soft drinks on the course, and the RRP for these items is less then £1.50. Why the huge mark ups? Of course, when you have no other options they can charge what they like, but I strongly feel these little touches need to be re-thought! I would probably not recommend this place as a result.

User

I had quite high expectations from this resort which has hosted prestigious Ryder cup but got disappointed. As soon as I reached the bursting clubbing noise just at reception woke my kid up .. there was no other way to get to the room apart from a hike through the corridors and several doors . The room was ok but nothing like it was shown in photos . Bed was big and quite comfortable. tV was really big too . Bathrooms were very nice but sadly no bath tub . The biggest disappointment was no mini bar and pricey drinks if you want to buy one from the lounge . Food was okay from the leisure club restaurant Rocco’s . However , the leisure club itself is somewhat not excellent . The pool is quite small and water was nearly cold . I wanted to watch a movie but WiFi speed was terrible . My tethering was faster than the WiFi in the room. Again , have to mention bed was comfortable to sleep in .

Breakfast was Okayish but for £18.5 it was quite expensive . There are no special things in it and if I would have had the choic , would rather have skipped it ...

staff was quite friendly and room service was nice too ..

all in all , nice experience but for the price I paid , it wasn’t worth it every penny. Might stay here again if I get a room on offer but wouldn’t book it ever on full price.

User

I do love this place and have been here a number of times now over the years. It is however missing the finer touches for a 5 star hotel and is in need of some TLC in a few places. The spa area is very badly lacking now with the jacuzzi being the worst. One not working yesterday during our visit. They are not very warm, powerful or last very long when in action and now in need of of changing in my opinion. Fire & Ice - love it but again needs some TLC- one of the showers not working properly. The service in Rocos is very badly lacking and poor and has never been good. Coffees overpriced at over £4 each ! Whilst he fruit platter was amazing for afternoon tea it would be nice to be offered gluten & dairy free cakes and not have to keep asking and chase constantly and wait for these.

I think offering a card or bracelet to charge extras for and pay on departure would be so much easier than having to carry cash.

Treatments were amazing and best I’ve had there in a while! Love the relaxation area but would suggest clients waiting for treatments be sent to a different area so you don’t have the noise of constant interruptions from them being collected.

I certainly wouldn’t pay full price for this.

All in all still a lovely day and would return just think everything could be better for a 5 star hotel

User

Expensive for a terrible night sleep. I was here the weekend in room 4014 with a friend and we were woken constantly in the night with the room shaking with what sounded like a door being open and closed all night. I mentioned this upon checkout but no real sympathy and no compensation so I doubt I'll be staying here again. On a positive note the spa was lovely as was the bel air night club just avoid room around this for a better night sleep.

User

Came to this spa for a day, had the massage and facial which was fantastic, lovely products used. Relaxing and the therapist was lovely. But it about stops there.

Outside eating area is very dull, no plants, flowers or anything, reminded me of a canteen area. The afternoon tea was okay. Some of the juices were not available.

The swimming pool was looking particularly tired and wasn’t that clean, I never saw any staff around at all. Both jacuzzis were not working. Towels left everywhere so you weren’t sure if seats were taken or not.

We didn’t book fire and ice but on being told if we paid extra we could do that we were then told only two of us could go in (there were 4 of us).

Overall this place looked tired and in need of some TLC. I wouldn’t go back, there are far better spas around.

User

Very poor experience all round. I unfortunately visited with a broken ankle (having previously booked as a golf break for me and hubby) and could not cancel due to the 28 day cancellation policy.

We decided to go along anyway and make the most of it - the hotel were less than considerate to my circumstances and in all honesty made me feel like a complete inconvenience for our entire stay. Every little thing was a battle and unless you speak to a manager the staff couldn’t care less! From the porter with the inflated ego to the less than helpful bar staff. You would have thought reserving a table (seen I have just had an operation and am on crutches) would be a simple request but no.

The Belfry you have let yourself down and I don’t think we will be returning! Total waste of money & dreadful customer service.
