The Belgian Monk

Good, fairly reasonably priced food and beer (though, they only serve in half pints - the idea is to match the food and beer like a wine list.) The vegan menu is especially impressive, particularly the desserts.

Overall, I would certainly recommend the Belgian Monk.

Myself and two friends had a meal from the 2 for 1 board. We enjoyed the meal very much. Staff were very friendly and quick.

Amazing value. I must have had 60-70 mussels with shrimp and cod in my meal and it was about £19. If you come during their special hours on Mon-Fri its apparently even cheaper at like £8. Highly recommend if you're in the area and have a love for mussels!

Went here after work to meet a friend for a bite to eat and a Belgian beer. The food was excellent and quick, and there were lots of good vegan options. I went for the chick pea and sweet potato burger, which I can definitely recommend. They have a good range of nice sounding beers. The cider menu was a bit narrow, which is why I didn't give 5 stars, but it was a nice place, good atmosphere and a historic building.

Probably the best restaurant in Norwich. That's not an understatement. I have been to The Belgian Monk several times over the last year and each meal has been nothing short of outstanding. In particular, the mussel selection is unreal, which is a microcosm of the massive range of great food on their menu as a whole. Definitely a place to check out for an meal and drinks with friends, a romantic dinner or a small work evening out.

Really nice outside garden. Fruit Beer was so good & tasty vegetarian meals. Service & Staff were cool. Defiantly will be chilling out here over the summer.

Some lovely beers here. I'm not a beer drinker really but tried the cherry and the apple and both good. Apple was definitely the best for me.
We went back the next day for lunch which was okay. I had a vegetarian dish with quinoa but there was too much quinoa and not enough sauce on the veg part so the dish so was just dry after a bit. Other half enjoyed his lots though!

Out of all the bars and Restaurants in Norwich City Centre(and there are alot) this has to be the best. Amazing beers and really great food at a good value. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Sadly I live in Nottingham but look forward to my business trips to Norwich just for this pub. Love the staff all very happy and professional.

Beer selection is incredible and the staff are always willing to help if you're unsure. The food is very tasty.
I went with my mum and as we didn't fancy a large meal we opted for an appetiser each and a side order of chips. We had been seated upstairs but weren't told we had to order mains meals. Thankfully the waitress was extremely helpful and we ordered an extra side to permit us to continue with our meal.
