The Bells Of Peover

About The Bells Of Peover

Bells of Peover is a Grade I listed building which dates back to the mid 13th Century. It was originally known as the Warren de Tabley Arms but was changed to the present title in the 1890s, named after the Bell family who continued to run it for several generations. George Bell is buried just 50 yards away in the adjoining church. We fly the Stars and Stripes alongside the Union Jack because Eisenhower and Patton were stationed nearby at the Hall during WWII and held strategy meetings in the bar here. They gave permission and are displayed to this day! Matching the surrounding affluent area, this destination food house has very much its own individual character. Refurbished in November 2008, it has retained the traditional look in keeping with the building, but has a brighter feel with neutral light decor and some new solid oak floors. The low ceilings are partly beamed, there are open fires lit in the winter months and four distinct areas with antiques all around. The food can be chosen from a main menu and we use fresh, local produce. You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines or a good selection of award winning real ales if preferred. When you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary then Bell of Peover will be an excellent choice. See you very soon.

If I could give 6 our of 5 starts I would. Went here for a birthday meal and they surprised us with a desert for the birthday girl. None of it was arranged, they just saw the cards and took a chance. Fab service and absolutely amazing food! CanŌĆÖt wait to go back!

User

I went for Sunday Lunch with my husband we was not disappointed .We had a gorgeous roast dinner followed by Apple Crumble and custard.Staff were very attentive and we will definitely be visiting again.

User

I was stunned by this lovely pub. Directions included turn left at " the cobbles" We did just that to find a tiny hamlet of houses, a pub and a beautiful church. Sometimes I struggle with pub menus but not this time. I ordered sea bass and little more than 15 minutes later my meal arrived. The fish was cooked perfectly and the gnocchi, pancetta and veg were really tasty. Staff attentive and friendly. 10/10

User

I was so excited to see vegan options on the menu & not just for the main course. I had a 3 course vegan meal & it was absolutely amazing!!!!!! So much detail, care & obvious passion in each dish I had. Very friendly & helpful staff. Well done & thank you, Liz

I just love this place. My second visit was a couple of days ago, again for lunch and was as good as the first earlier in the year. The staff are attentive, the food is excellent and the added bonus this time was being able to sit in the garden before and after the meal. I will hopefully visit again soon.
