The Bendigo Lounge at The Maze, Nottingham’s best loved independent music venue, is the freshest recording studio to rear it’s head in the Nottingham region. Utilising our skills to produce an eclectic range of genre-spanning music, the studio employs a strong DIY ethic alongside a passion for all of life’s better sonic entities - be they reggae, punk, folk or funk, we ourselves are well placed, as musicians first and foremost, to deliver your concept to fruition. We embrace all genres of music, electronic or acoustic.

The Benidgo Lounge is conveniently located on Mansfield Road, close to all local amenities and a host of other great pubs and venues.

The studio itself got it’s name though something of an inheritance due to the infamous 19th century Nottingham-bred boxer William Abednego Thompson or “Bendigo” as he was affectionately known, who purportedly used our 2nd Live Room as his main place of training before going on to win, as the story goes, all of his prize fights. He eventually retired - stepping down undefeated as Champion, with two prize belts and four Silver Cups to his name! What a champ! We're just interested in music though!
