This is the official Facebook page for "The Big Quiz" at The Kings Head and Bell in Abingdon, We run 2 weekly quiz nights one on Thursday and one on Sunday, It starts at 9pm on Thursdays and 8pm Sunday and the format of the quiz nights are as follows:

£1 per person to enter

If you win a round you get a £15 Drinks Voucher for your team!

Round 1: Guest Round
The Subject of this round changes every week - 15 questions 1 point for each correct answer unless otherwise stated.

Round 2: The Handout Round
A Handout which again changes every week, from pictures to cryptic clues - anything goes!

Round 3: Family Fortunes Round
15 Questions in the style of family fortunes, try and guess the most popular answer for 5 points desending to 1 point for the least popular answer - 75 points to play for.

Round 4: Music Round
15 clips of songs music from all era's, 1 point for each correct title and artist /group.

Every team then gets to play there cards right, higher or lower for 5 cards in a row (Joker cards automatically put you through to the final) and everyone that gets through then plays against each other in the pontoon playoff final (21s) with the winner of that getting to open an envelope for a chance at the jackpot!

The jackpot rolls over each week it's not won, and due to the quiz nights popularity, the jackpot is often at it's maximum of £150 - even when the jackpot is won it will be no less then £50 the following week.

Round 1: TV and Films
15 questions, 1 point for each correct answer unless otherwise stated.

Round 2: Picture Round
15 random Pictures, 1 point for each correct answer unless otherwise stated.

Round 3: Sports Round
15 random questions, 1 point for each correct answer unless otherwise stated.

Round 4: Music Round
15 clips of songs, 1 point for each correct title and artist /group + 1 extra point if you get my favourite song from the music round correct.

BINGO! - After the 4 rounds we then play Bingo - you're £1 entry fee for the quiz gets you 1 ticket and you can also pay £1 per ticket for as many more as you like to increase your odds at winning.

We also allow anyone else in the pub who isn't playing the quiz to pay £1 per ticket for bingo as well.

Every pound earnt from the entry fee and for every extra bingo ticket sold goes straight to the first person to get "house" by having each of their bingo numbers called. On occasion we have prizes for 1st line and for 2 lines.
