@mimifoodstories ✨✨ As you know Saturday I was out in York, there aren’t many halal restaurants in York, so alway plan where you want to eat before your trip. We booked a restaurant two weeks before we were going and asked if they could accommodate to our dietary requirements and they were happy to supply halal food and to be cooked separately, you would have to pick from the menu before hand and to put a deposit down. A lot of restaurants like to accommodate... to their customers requirements, which is amazing I must say! The food and service was amazing and loved everything about it, if you don’t like loud places on a Saturday evening this is not the place for you. ✨✨

We went to a few places to no avail! Walked into the blitmore,the staff were really accommodating and got us seated, the food was amazing and the service was great, definitely recommend blitmore to my friends and family, my new favourite in York !!! Will be back

We went for a hen party. We had a beautiful meal & then spent the rest of the night here until they were kicking us out at 2am! We never stay in one place but the music, service & atmosphere was just too good! Staff were very attentive & helpful. Mr DJ you made our night!! Thank you for a memorable night out!

We visited the Biltmore last Saturday for a bite to eat as it has great reviews and they weren't wrong! We've never eaten here before but will definitely be back!! The food was fantastic...from the olives they marinate themselves... to the perfectly cooked T-bone steak... to the delicious chocolate brownie dessert which we had to share as the portion sizes are so generous that we were stuffed! My husband used to be a chef and always wants his steak to be cooked perfectly, he said the t-bone he had was one of his top 5 steaks he'd ever had in his life. It wasn't just the food that was perfect, staff were brilliant especially Eleanor who was so friendly, professional and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she knew the menu and place inside out. Cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was great. 10 out of 10!! Thankyou xx

It was brilliant. The manager Brad did a great job over the phone and when we arrived. The 2 waitresses did a fantastic job by being very attentive and helpful! I only managed to get Vicki's name so I apologise for not mentioning the second waitress. It's a great atmosphere and I would recommend eating here.

Had my leaving ‘ do ‘ here last night and have nothing but good things to say ....the table looked beautiful, food was fabulous , but by far and away the biggest positive , was the waiting staff....in particular our lovely Adam who took such great care of us and was patience personified when it came to settling the bill ! 10/10.....���������

Great night learning about cocktails, thanks to Brad. Shame it is very open and quite noisy, especially with another hen party opposite but very informative, high quality cocktails and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We ate upstairs after our cocktail making and the food was fantastic. Large portions of very tasty, fresh food, beautifully presented. Would definitely return and I recommend this venue for food, drinks, and/or parties.

Came here for the second time for a friend's 40th Birthday celebration. Wonderful dining experience with friendly attentive staff, made us feel very special. Gluten free requirements in our party were catered for easily and well. Very nice decor and ambience upstairs. DJ was brilliant and our party (along with everyone else in the venue) danced all night. Drinks and food very reasonably priced for an experience that felt much more 'high end'. Thanks for making our evening so enjoyable.

A group of us done the cocktail masterclass yesterday for my hen. It was fabulous. Poor Tom was tortured with us, but he done brilliantly with support from Lewis and Darren. We'll definitely return...if we're allowed back in 😂

The menu had changed since last year, which fair enough sometimes change is good. In this case not. I found there was little choice on the menu unless you liked shellfish. When our starters arrived they were exceptionally small portions and not worth the cost of them. The main course was dreadful. I ordered The Biltmore burger, when it came it was so over cooked I was unable to cut it. The bun was also really hard and the chips (stealth fries!) were also overcooked. I did complain and they brought me a new meal but by this time my husband had finished his meal and the second meal was just as bad. The burger was still very well done but also after one bite I pulled out 4 bits of gristle. The staff were lovely and tried their best to help (hence the 2 * rating) but I don't think it is too much to ask that a fully qualified chef should be able to cook a burger given 2 attempts. Especially as initially we were the only 2 people in the restaurant and after that only 2 other couples. Our server did say that it was a new chef and she welcomed our feedback. Really disappointed for something we looked forward to.

We were seated promptly and ordered drinks and food. The drinks arrived but the waiter accidentally spilt a whole pint of lager into my lap. He was upset but accidents happen.

Over an hour later we still hadn't received our starters but we got some complimentary food consisting of a handful of olives, a blob of houmous and 3 slices of inedible burnt bread. This was supposed to go around 10 people!

We made the decision to leave and told the waiter and floor manager that we were going and not to expect payment for drinks due to the poor service. We were only told at that point that the chef had walked out.

If they'd been honest from the start instead of trying to hide the problem then we could have gone elsewhere for food earlier and maybe even gone back for drinks and dancing.

I'm expecting this review to be removed as reviewing was turned off last weekend when the problem occurred. A shame really as the place was recommended to us.

This was a terrible experience at the Biltmore, I had ordered the fish tacos and was very much looking forward to this meal, it never materialised. No food came, there was no acknowledgement from the staff until we asked approximately 2 hours from arriving other than the chef had been taken ill. The clientele were ropey, we had a lovely meal at the restaurant directly opposite!

Out for new year and one of the lads behind the bar made a mistake and squirted us with water resulting in a soaking wet jumper for one of my friend

The guy was very apologetic and offered a free drink, the guy was very very busy which we under stood but when we mentioned to another member of staff he was so so rude and got angry with one of the people I was with trying to redeem the drink we were promised, the guy dismissed us and told us to the speak with the manager.

After speaking to the manager he agreed the gentle man was in the wrong but this should never of happened

The staff member was very rude which resulted in us leaving a lovely establishment.

So having just bought a bottle of Veuve Vlicqot Rose at £75 a bottle, walking back to my my table it fell out of the champagne cooler provided by your staff member, covering both myself and the floor, I speak to a member of the management team and am told that it’s my responsibility. Shocking, despite just buying a £200 round, due to your staffs incompetency I have to buy another bottle!!! I’ll be very surprised if I find myself in your establishment again!! Disgraceful customer service!! Also the manager, Fern I believe, made me feel like it was my fault!! Absolutely shocking and won’t be making any recommendations any time soon!!!

We we're celebrating my lovely friends 50th she's the kindest mildest person you could meet but when we were told off for singing happy birthday once, served poor cheap quality food then presented with a bill for £800 instead of £300 she very rightly complained! The management accused her of being aggressive as she very reasonably argued her point! They then threatened us with the police and then just to make matters worse their own security team who turned up and escorted us off the premises ... Just because we complained! WARNING don't go here to celebrate any birthday or indeed anything! The management team need to reassess how they deal with complaints, an apology would have been a start sadly it wasn't on their agenda!
