Excellent! I've lived in Brampton for 6 years and never eaten here, only visited for a drink. I wish I had gone sooner. The service from our waitress, sorry forgot to ask your name but you've only been there 3 weeks, was excellent. Friendly smile, attentive and chatty. The food was memorable and of an excellent quality. Really enjoyed it. I am always sceptical of restaurants these days as there seen to be so many bad ones. And there is never any consistency with the food. Having only eaten here once I will reserve judgement on the consistency until the next visit but if I say I will go back then that's a good start! There were 4 in our party. We had 3 starters, 4 main meals, 3 deserts, 2 Cokes, 4 pints of beer and 2 medium wines. Bill was £78. We thought that was excellent value. It was bank holiday Monday and the atmosphere was good. Music hardly audible but at least it wasn't deafening. Children are welcome as are dogs in the bar side. So if you don't like eating in the bar area with dogs present you need to ask for a table in the restaurant side which I believe they have but I didn't see. They also have a huge garden area and I have been here for bonfire night and live music nights in the past. It's a lovely garden for the summer. So I would definitely recommend a visit! Nice to have a decent restaurant in the village that isn't too expensive and has some great food and friendly service.

Thank you to Sharon and all the staff at The Black Bull for making my holiday home so wonderful. Great food, lovely people, truly a little slice of English Heaven. Until next year my friends!!!!

Sharon, Zack & Shannon went above and beyond to welcome 24 of the Brambles Pre-school children and 6 staff.



They helped the children to actively learn about a restaurant by welcoming the children, allowing them to choose their own menus & answering the children’s questions before very generously providing the children with a sandwich lunch and pudding in real plates & bowls for both children and staff!



We can’t thank Sharon and her team enough and many of us will certainly be back!

On a busy Friday night, 5 bloody lovely meals (not all for me!). We took my mother in law, who was baffled why her Lamb, Rosemary & Red wine pie had a 'L' on the top....I'd put money in her lying awake tonight trying to work it out!!!

First time at The Black Bull today with husband and two dogs - will definitely visit again. All were made to feel very welcome and Sunday lunch (2 course) was delicious and with excellent service - would highly recommend 🐕😊
