Very proud to see both current and former Blackpool Sixth music students appearing on the 'Blackpool Introduces' stage at this year's Blackpool Illuminations Switch On 2018.
Both Chloe Rose Moyle and members of The Sound have studied, or are currently studying BTEC Music with us at Blackpool Sixth and we are really excited to see our students perform in such a huge event for the town.

Congratulations to BTEC Public Services student Samuel Hayes who will be studying Policing and Criminal Investigation at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) #B6Results

Ben Bloxham will be using his A* in graphic design to take up a place at University Of Huddersfield to study graphic design. Ben also got fantastic A level results in maths (B) and photography (A) #B6Results

Our @B6SchoolLiaison team Fay and Nik were just as thrilled yesterday with our results as our students. They cannot wait to welcome all of our new starters at enrolment next week on the 23rd and 24th August! #B6Results

Congratulation Emma Hadwin who is off to study photography at Coventry University International. Emma bagged an impressive two A* grades and an A in her visual art subjects photography, graphic design and textile design. #B6Results

Congratulations to Sally Kenny who was celebrating fantastic results yesterday Sally got a B in English literature, an A* in classical civilisation and an A in art. She is off to read classical studies at Newcastle University.

Congratulations to Melanie Kennedy Diver. Melanie got Distinction* grades in both BTEC Business and BTEC IT and a B grade in A Level Graphic Design, she will go on to study politics, philosophy and society at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) #B6Results

It's US here I come from Keiran Mitchell, who achieved an A* in English literature and A grades in French and history. Keiran has been awarded a fully-funded scholarship to study at Yale University in the US. He is the third Blackpool Sixth student in five years to gain a place at an Ivy League institution #B6Results.

Celebrating success and building futures!
Blackpool Sixth students and staff are once again celebrating a wonderful set of A level and BTEC Level 3 results against a backdrop of curriculum reforms and more challenging qualifications. Despite the reforms, the overall pass rate has been maintained at 99% and significant numbers of students are still receiving the highest possible grades in their qualifications. In A level subjects half of students’ grades were high grades (A*, ...A or B) and in BTEC 88% of students received distinction stars.
Blackpool Sixth Principal, Jill Gray, commented, “We are thrilled with this fabulous set of results which reflects the dedication and hard work of our students and staff. Such positive results mean that our students are now able to progress to their chosen next step with an excellent foundation for future success. We are extremely proud of all their achievements.”

We have been coordinating with the lettings team of the college to organize Blackpool's first-ever Yoga and Vegan Festival, and we are very pleased with the excellent support. A special thanks to Andy for being so helpful. We'd recommend to hire their facilities if you are organizing any events.

My daughter was recently in a dancing show here. It's a fantastic venue for a show! A lovely modern theatre. It was clean and well maintained, with ample parking. Friendly staff too.

Inspiring atmosphere, enthusiastic staff. A great place to be!

I loved attending this College and I love the fact that I'm still involved with it 20 years later!! Come on Christmas Miracle; let's get back into the top 40!!

Been a good 5 years since I left, but major shout outs to Simon Thornhill and Phil Benson for (admittedly unknowingly) catapulting me onto my Maths PhD. If either of you guys ever want to chat about Complex Analysis, Topolgy or how to solve the Inscribed Square Problem, I'm sure I probably owe you both a few pints! Best teachers ever!
