The Blackpool Tower

The queues to get in were long, but well managed. Displays and videos, photo ops and such made it child friendly. The views from the tower are spectacular and definitely worthwhile. If you just want the tower you can skip any of the displays. The glass floor, with a dizzying several hundred feet view below your feet is unnerving and excellent.

Brilliant day out, a pleasant surprise indeed. I would highly recommend the circus with acts from all over the world, which is sure to keep all the family entertained. The Blackpool Tower 4D experience is also very good. The ballroom is looking a little shabby but enjoyed by the older generations.

I really enjoyed my time in Blackpool. The beach was nice to visit as the sea and sand had me nostalgic of past visits to other beaches. I went when the Blackpool tower lights were switched on and its amazing at night. Lots of lights to see in Blackpool. The rides are fantastic. There are a range of stores to visit there. Another thing that's good about Blackpool is that the trams are clean and run smoothly. It is a family friendly place. Also, the fish and chips were fresh and delicious.

Tower Ballroom afternoon tea what a great experience. Service was good, food was lovely. Even if you don't dance, watching others dance is still fun. If you get there too early your ticket allows access to the balcony so you can watch and buy a drink.
Not 5 stars - no offer of water to top up teapot. Shame for those who can dance not to be able to request one dance with a partner. I don't dance but my friend can. Would have made her 80th birthday treat even better with a dance.

This was brilliant, my 2 year old all the way through to my 72 year old Dad enjoyed it. The 4d cinema was great and there was loads of room and levels to take in the vista at the top. Only down side was the ticketing set up. We queued up for a hour just to collect our pre paid tickets. We also didn't find out until we were inside that there was a amusements and a bar were the rest of our party could of waited instead of getting soaked in the rain.

Staff all very helpful and friendly but the rest of the visit was most disappointing. I seem to remember 20 years ago one ticket price covered access to all areas. I object to paying extra just to look at the ballroom.
A discount ticket offering 20% off purchases made in the gift shop gave us only 40p off of a total of over £30 as only the first item generates the discount.
We had visited the tower to refresh some good memories but came away feeling really ripped off.
Rather than a treasured heritage that fantastic building is now a prize cash cow!!

Great experience. The 4d was good. Enjoyed going up the tower and on to the clear glass and walking round. Ensure you use 2 for 1 offers as it's worth the paying in advance for a family of 4. Family of 4 with discount vouchers is £29.plus you get 20% discount for their gift shop with your tickets.

We want up the tower recently and I have to say they have now fitted a bar so you can order a soft drink or alcoholic, there is music also and a seating area with amazing views. This has meant you can easily spend twice as long up there. It's still an expensive experience especially if you take into account the photos you have and may want to purchase.

The 4d film at the beginning is really good, that is well worth the experience.

Thank you so much for a fantastic time at the afternoon tea and dance, from myself and my 46 guests, on the occasion of my 70th birthday. The manager and staff were exceptionally helpfully, the organists where the best and very entertaining. The Tower ballroom is a fabulous, world class, venue in which to hold an event and we will be recommending to all our families and friends. The afternoon tea was also fantastic. Once again many thanks for making such a fabulous, memorable event, one which we will be talking about for a long time to come. We are all looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent day out with a number of different attractions, recently modernised. The circus was excellent, the kids loved jungle Jim's, the glass floor in the tower was exhilarating, we didn't do the dungeons so we'll be visiting again!!

Better than I thought. The top was really nice just mind your head on the exposed steel beams. I'd definitely recommend this attraction.

We was a family of four including my nine years old granddaughter who loves Blackpool. We visited the tower and decided to go to the circus. What a fantastic time we had the show was brilliant. It is the best circus we have been to without the use of animals. We seated in the upper circle which I strongly recommend. Save a little money and book at a tourist information centre.

Compared to the rest of what we experienced during a day in Blackpool, the tower was a clear highlight. Clean, professional and interesting, with friendly service throughout, and not full of the usual Blackpool patrons. The ballroom is still special, the cafe with sea views wasn't terrible and the trip to the top is still fun and a little exhilarating
