Family room very nice and quite, very comfortable beds enough space for a family of three. Breakfast was good with the options of cooked and continental. Staff were welcoming and friendly and always ready to help and support. Food at the restaurant was superb ( cheese board selection reccomended). Would recommend and will be back.

My daughter and I have returned for yet another year. We love it here. The food is always gorgeous and the staff helpful and friendly. This year the accommodation is being updated/refurbished and our room was delightfully bright and airy. We arrived on the day of a wedding and although staff were busy preparing, they made time to make sure we were comfortable. An absolutely stunning location for weddings. I can highly recommend the Blazing Donkey, for great meals, drinks, weekend breaks, a good base for visiting local attractions and of course as a wedding venue. Thank you to Richard, Sherry and their staff. We'll be back! :-)

I'm very disgusted by the service my mother in law has received from your staff. she has a hotel room booked for the Sunday & Monday. She used a gift voucher to purchase a room and had to pay an extra £90.00 to stay the Monday. She booked this over the phone but is now being told there no room booked for these two days! She has proof in her bank account of £90.00 going to your hotel. She made a phone call this morning to correct this but has received terrible customer service. This was for my parents in law wedding anniversary and it has been completely ruined by your lack of sympathy . But the error has been made by yourselves. You have not only taken £90.00 but £100.00 Voucher. I request some contacts either my mum Pauline Gibson or myself!

Arrived early and had a warm welcome. Was allowed to book in and go into the room early.

The room was a converted stable. All the amenities you need in a room except wifi which was available in the main building. Onsite parking right outside your accommodation.

Beautiful grounds surrounding the hotel.

Bar service was very good, didn't wait to be served even though there was a wedding taking place.

Breakfast in the morning was nice and tasty. A selection of juices and cereals, fresh croissants followed by a tasty full English breakfast. This was washed down by 5 cups of coffee!!

The staff could not have been anymore helpful and we look forward to coming back to stay very soon.

It was a pleasure to meet the general manager who was a true gent.

We booked this as a gift for our friend (40th), the deal was a hotel overnight stay with 3 course meal, glass of wine and breakfast the next day.
A week before we stayed we looked online at the reviews...... frankly we were then very scared. Horrible pictures and what seemed to be really damning reviews.
So I visited before we went (to ease all our minds), and the staff were really helpful. I saw the rooms and they were clean! However still doubt in my mind because of the food reviews.
We arrived yesterday, the rooms were immaculate with new beds in them (slept like a dream). Even better was the food, and nothing was a bother. Yummy starters, great mains and dessert. There was a lot of choice for an a la carte!
This was in my opinion a lovely hotel, with lovely food ran by lovely helpful people!
Thank you Blazing Donkey!
