great fresh food, amazing service, not tacky, restaurant has great atmosphere

User

What an excellent restaurant and venue. The food was great and the staff were excellent. I called it a venue because there is also live music and great cocktails, I will definitely recommend the Blue Piano if you are looking for something different.

User

The Blue Piano has that element which is hard to buy-CHARECTER. It is built on high quality, whether your staying, eating, drinking or enjoying live music. The staff are great and offer good service with a smile. The accomodation is in sympathy with the period of the building. Hope to return one day

User

Really lovely hotel. Rooms clean, bright and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to centre of town but far enough away from all the craziness! Located in a nice area and there is a Morrison's across the road with cashpoint should you need it. Would definitely recommend *****

Love the hostess with the mostess Lisa, makes everybody feel so special she makes time for everyone even though she gets sooooo busy on nights of the gigs bless her. The staff are numero Uno !!! Venue is great love it just wish it was nearer to me ah but it's worth the trouble. Xxx

I've only lunched at The Blue Piano twice and I have to say the Singapore Carrot Cake is to die for. I could eat it morning, noon and night and never tire of it. Their other epicurean offerings are equally intriguing. The dining room has an informal sophistication with vintage rock'n'roll/rhythm'n'blues playing unobtrusively in the background. I fully intend to return one evening for some live music, Carrot Cake and Aspall's cider. Heavenly.

User

Great venue. Food was lovely, and Terry and Gerry spot on entertainers 🎵🎤🎶🎻🎵

From the moment you walk in and smell the spices and hear the live jazz you will appreciate how special this place is!!! The pork ribs starter is an absolute must.

Beautiful food and relaxing atmosphere on our Monday night visit (when there is a full vegan menu available alongside food for the meat eaters). The rice pudding and coconut cream dessert is divine!

Amazing food 😍 Lovely place

This is a lovely place. We had a booking for 16 so were sat in the front room. The starters came all together but some of the mains didnt, and we had to wait a bit longer for the sides to arrive. My meal was the Ribs starter and randang veg curry. Both were excellent and very flavoursome. My main gripe was after the organiser had collected everyones money for the bill, it came with a HEFTY SERVICE CHARGE, so he had to pay that himself (an extra £30). This bit i just dont get. We were happy to leave a tip but mandatory service charges i'm not happy about, or the £4.80 price of a pint of Blue Moon. I like the place but i wouldnt go regularly as its too pricey on my salary. The decor is superb and very stylish so i guess it is right For their Prices. The music was fantastic and the atmosphere it created was superb. It is a bit cramped though with everyone squeezed into the bar and spilling out into the hall, so not a lot of room to boogey on down. I will go again probably for a lunchtime treat as i loved my meal.

The Terry and Gerry garden party was good.. thanks for keeping us entertained and to the blue piano for being such a lovely venue, roll on 2019 !! X

User

The Blue Piano 🎹 hosted my birthday for this year for the second time ! Fantastic venue great food and staff! Highly recommended!

User

Good friendly service and vegan Monday options. Most choices were curry based so a bit of variety could be something to improve on.

User

Food was lovely, went for the express menu at lunch for my leaving lunch. However, the member of staff left a lot to be desired! Took an age to bring drinks, forgetting 1. Then looked shocked when we asked if we could order our food. When it came to paying the bill, even more rude! Was put out that we were all paying separately, wouldn’t help with the bill and plain rude when it came to the apparently “mandatory” tip!
