Sally and myself would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff for their immense effort getting us through what turned out to be a very busy but rather difficult and very trying season for one reason or another. The core of the team have been amazing yet again, we really, genuinely, couldn't do it without your hard work and dedication. We were blessed with a few newbie superstars as well. Thank you all.
To our customers, thank you to you as well. Your continued ...support has been terrific as always, lots of repeat customers from previous years and some great compliments from ones who have never visited us before
Thank you all as well for all the reviews and feedback. Lots were really good, some were not so good, some terrible (but only one or two!!) All the feedback we get is invaluable, it shows us how we are doing, where and what we need to improve and most importantly an opportunity to praise our staff who work so hard, especially when we are so incredibly busy.
We look forward to seeing you over the next few months, our new winter menu is currently being devised, specials board will be back and most importantly Tom's superb Sunday Roasts are very near to a return, possibly with a little twist this year!! Christmas menus will be here very soon as well, so if you want to celebrate the festive season with family, friends or work colleagues we would be happy to cater for your party.

Wow fantastic place and even better the manager is incredible. After booking two taxis (for four adults, three kids and two dogs!), one had to be used for someone going to hospital so Sally the manager jumped in her own car to take us where we needed to go! Amazing thank you and we will be back.

We came over for lunch today with our 2 grandaughters and our dog, great service, great food, couldn't fault anything, very helpful team. Thank you all.

We Come down for our yearly holiday every year, great food great atmosphere and somewhere we can actually sit down inside and eat a meal with our dogs by our side...

Great staff and friendly, they always let us bring a cake in for my husbands birthday, and they always go that extra special step and brought him some balloons out this year to put on our table

The only reason that I give The Boathouse a five star rating is because there is no option for anything higher.

A well themed pub in a great location with friendly staff, good food and a great selection of reasonably priced drinks.

The best pub in Dawlish!! Lush food, friendly staff & fast service. Nice feeling in the pub & I’ve never had a bad experience here.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming, we particularly get on well with one member of staff who will often bring our dogs a biscuit and remembers us year after year. Food is always quick and tasty. We will be back in October �

Is very clean hospitality very good food excellent a d food came to table not long after we sat down highly recommend ����

Great place to eat and drink and can take all members of your family to the boat house I.E the dog can come in or out when you eat drink and get merry

Can't believe that not been here before all ways thought wasn't fresh food but fast chain take way, so glad family introduced me to it today was lovely service and fresh food meals even I couldn't eat it all well worth money, fresh lamb burger was very juice just needed more mint couldn't taste it but that could of been due to loads of fresh flavours salad etc �

Best food we had all holiday had 2 mix grills both cooked to perfection and a kids meal she loved to so well done thanks ���

Been here twice now on our holiday lovely food and the views are stunning , if I any any compliant at all is you have to pay for BBQ sauce which is £1.70 or something for a small pot ( should come with the meal really )

Over-priced in my opinion, but I did enjoy my meal. I would like to see a salad option, rather than a ‘ploughman’s with small salad’. Especially on hot days. My partner did not enjoy his chicken burger as much, noting the chicken seemed processed and cheap.

It was ok in this place but it was full with Dogs I don’t mind dogs normally but there was one man sat at a table ( which you eat from ) on his lap the place just smelt of wet dogs didn’t bother having food here because of it this place would have been nice if not with all the wet smelly dogs

Great potential, spoilt by a lack of Gluten free options for my 9yr old.

An allegen fryer & some meat (burgers, sausages) without Gluten would also be handy and both these combined would have led to multiple trips their during our two weeks in the area & a great review. The outlay for this would not be excessive, as the fryer could he used for all chips & many supplied meats don't contain Gluten.

It sadly seems to be a theme with many seaside resorts.



Food was quick to arrive & tasted fine, they did provide Gammon & eggs with mash but The only menu options were curry!

Also, like many other pups in the area they were dog friendly. Just not Coeliac aware. �

Friendly staff, good service, portion sizes a bit slim and the roast dinner plate presentation was a bit messy but enjoyed. Also didn’t like sitting in the annex part of the pub..The size of the room is too small for the quantity of people it becomes noisy.. overall we enjoy going to the boathouse and will continue to visit

food has sadly gone down hill in the last year chips over cooked . the place just needs tlc paint work fresh wall paper cleaning of toilets more often staff have walked past dry peas on floor and left more then once

Terrible food! When I sent the food back they offered me a drink! Why on earth would I want a drink when I have just paid £13 for food that looked like a dogs dinner. The staff walked past 7 or 8 times and not one of them asked if there was a problem. I will not be returning and will spread the word

Stopped for a cappuccino yesterday and was given a latte, queried it with the lad behind the bar and was told that he could put extra froth in as that was the only difference between the two drinks. I was given a latte, served in a latte glass and not a cappuccino, didn't spoil my day, lets face it its only a drink but may be worth educating the staff!
