The Boathouse Café is an award winning seafood café and restaurant, set in a unique location in the fisherman's arches on the Mayflower Steps, just a stone's throw from Plymouth's historic Barbican.
Our speciality is fresh fish and shellfish, sustainably caught by our own day boat, The Southern Star - along with a changing menu of meat and vegetarian dishes, made using locally sourced, seasonal produce. A little nipper’s menu is also available for our younger salty sea dogs!

There's plenty of covered and heated outside space for dining al fresco, with fantastic views of Sutton Harbour on the left, Mount Batten and the mouth of the River Plym on the right.

We are sad to announce that today we have lost a vital colleague and very dear friend. Mike Peonides sadly passed away earlier this morning, he has worked with us since the very beginning, helping to build us into the company we have become today. As a mark of respect, flags are flying at half-mast today at all our locations and on board our fleet.
He will be sincerely missed by everyone at Plymouth Boat Trips, The Boathouse Café, Cremyll Ferry, Voyager Boatyard & Royal William Yard Marina ❤️
