Pete has been standing on his home town Market for almost 28 years.. He is the only Book Seller to trade every Outdoor Market Day & to have remained loyal to his fellow Prestonians throughout the redevelopment..He has a massive selection of fiction & non fiction in both hard & paperback.. Sadly we will NOT be open tomorrow Monday 19th March 2018, due to the Van breaking down & having to be towed home on Saturday after trading... We hope to re-open on Wed, if the work can be sorted... I will post on Tuesday as to the situation's update.. Sorry for any inconvenience

As of tomorrow, Wed 6-12-2017, this business and ALL other Outdoor Traders will return to the newly completed outdoor section of the Market at the Lancaster Rd end . The indoor section will open in February... Our stall will be on the Earl St side of the Market roughly where we stood from 1991 - 2016! Sadly we are unable to trade today...due to vehicle problems, sorry for any inconvenience, and we hope to see you on Friday...

Sadly we have for the first time in our 26 yr trading history, had to miss the market for two days running... Once again we attempted to set up this morning, but the wind and rain lashing in on the temporary spot we occupy on the old Fish market made it impossible... I can only once again apologise to our loyal customers, and say that hopefully once the works are completed and we are back on the main market, the problem will not be as bad..

Sadly after three hours of attempting to set the stalls up today, we have made the decision to pack up and not trade... The wind was lashing rain onto the books and we have to protect our stock, to give you the best condition books... We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our regular buyers, but hope, weather permitting to be back trading on Wednesday...
