Lovely food. The portion sizes are huge but so yummy! Very good value for money

beautiful location and proper traditional country pub. Lots of charm and friendly staff. Food was great well presented and extensive local produce menu. Would highly recommend a visit. Warning it is very popular do book a table ahead

We tried to go to The Boot and Shoe for dinner on Saturday night but they were fully booked. Keeping this in mind for Sunday we made a reservation.
We ordered the pigeon for the starter to share. I had the venison main and my partner had the lamb henry. My venison was very sinewy and hard to eat. The lamb was overly fatty. The side vegetables were very nice.
The quality of food did not match the price.
There was also a LOT of flies

I only rate five stars because I can't rate 6. Really good food, lovely staff and great atmosphere. You feel as in your local pub from the first second. Very very recommended.

Lovely country pub come restaurant.
We didn't book but landlord was brill and fitted is in as soon as he could.
Food was top draw.
Would recommend to anyone. But would advise to book as you may not be as lucky as we were, as even on Thursday they were very busy.
Would I come again? Oh yes

Great food and atmosphere. Nice beer, and very friendly staff. I had a very nice Venison steak with champ mash and vegetables.

Lovely local pub with great food and a good local atmosphere. Very friendly staff & very good value for money. This was a passing visit, but I wish it was my local! Highly recommended.
