Eeek I am over the moon to announce that thanks to you and your votes I have made the final 3 of the @red_funnel_ferries My Isle of Wight Awards in the Local Produce Champion catagory. I will be attending the awards ceremony on the 31st January so have your fingers crossed for me.

Well if I was buying this Watermelon for the fruit alone I would not be a happy shopper....but as it goes I wished all the watermelons I bought were like this. Perfect for my Pickled Watermelon, and the small amount of fruit that is left will be great for my Watermelon and Vanilla Bean Syrup🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉

Its January, its midweek and we are all in need of warm, comforting food. Whatever your preference I have paired a lovely Spicy Mango Chutney Sauce with either Meatballs of Falafels (Vegan inc Sauce) in this fantastic recipe. Double it up and have some ready to go in your freezer. Well what are you waiting for.....GO!

An awesome 2 weeks off which is the longest time off I have had since setting up on the Island but it is time to head back to work. We are all set for for a fantastic 2019 at The Borneo Pantry with some exciting things happening. First on the agenda is packing up my office🤭

So today the Family Christmas Tree was taken down and as such it reminded me to remind you that my Christmas Chutney 200g jars are now no longer available until later on in September. You can however get your fix as it does feature as one of the 9 jars in my Mini Selection Box.
I know some will be disappointed that the large jars arent available all year round, it just makes it all the more special when it does become available.🎄🎅🤶

"I treated myself to a jar of Christmas Chutney from the health food shop in Shanklin as I’d heard good things about it! I opened it tonight and, I um, ate nearly a third of the jar!! It was lush!
So I will need to restock much sooner than planned and can report it goes very well with cold quorn roast, jacket potato and sliced red pepper.
... I was going to open the watermelon and vanilla syrup that I got from Caffe Isola but I’m stuffed 🙂 so looking forward to that another day....

So I'm thinking about 2 entries this year into the Great Taste Awards One is already decided on but which should the 2nd be?

A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action becomes reality.
