My partner and I went here today for food and drinks. A coworker had recommended it but I’d never gone in before because I was worried there wouldn’t be enough vegetarian options (my partner and I are both veggie). However, the menu was vast and there were about ten vegetarian options and even about six vegan options. We had a falafel burger and chips and a sweet potato, goat’s cheese and mushroom pie with mash. They were absolutely delicious; the seasoning was divine and the temperature and texture of our food was perfect. We then had a chocolate and pineapple pot and a warm cookie dough for dessert and they were the best desserts we’d ever had! So soft and warm and sweet! A lot of the reviews here say the food is not good but I beg to differ. Please try the food, you’re missing out if you don’t! The staff and the cocktails are lovely too and the drinks menu is very extensive! We will be coming back for my birthday and we can’t wait! Thank you The Botanist for an exemplary experience! xxx

I've eaten here before going to the footie at Old Trafford a number of times and the food is always good. This time, however, I had a salad - crispy beef - that was to die for. I love salads and this was probably the best I've ever eaten, full of Thai flavours.



Service here is always good and there's a great atmosphere. My only criticism is that the lighting is so dim that it's very difficult indeed to read the menu (but now I know about the crispy beef salad, that's what I'll be ordering next time).

I went for the first time today, we arrived 20 mins early but was still seated straight away. The waitress was very efficient and polite, the food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. I would definitely go again.

I have been to the botanist tonight with friends from beginning to end we had a fantastic night the food drink and service was exceptional James Singleton the manager saw to it that we did not want for anything. We were celebrating the fact that one of our friends has had a year long battle with cancer and has now been given the all clear. There was live music on and also bingo which only added to making the night so successful we will definitely be back again

Had my 80th birthday there .with my family of mixed ages.from people in there twentys upwards.all had a great meal. And drinks service was first class had a great night.

Had a fab night from start to finish booked for my family party of 10 was going to see elf at the lowery was put in a glass side room wAs so lovely drinks were fab had a few cocktails which the waitress recommended took my mum and dad and the waitress was lovely with my dad food fab and lovely pudding would well recommend everything thank u x

Came to the Botanist my very first time with friend well happy got to the bar got served straight away by friendly bar man made nice cocktail to was good nice ambience nice and warm good atmosphere to well recommend this lovely bar restaurant happy times .����

Came for Valentines dinner and a did a cocktail making masterclass before our meal. Our bartender Harry was brilliant, really friendly and up for a laugh even though we spilt most of our ingredients. The masterclass was £20 per couple for Valentine’s day which was amazing value for money given the service and fun we had (not to mention all the cocktails)!

The food was perfect and brought out to us in good time despite the restaurant being busy, and waiter Callum was really friendly, up for a laugh and was very helpful if we were after something, the service all night could not be faulted,

The atmosphere was great and everyone seemed to be having a good night, we couldn’t recommend here enough!

Awesome place, great atmosphere food was very tasty & the cocktails are fab with loads of choice! Def check it out!

Arranged with the staff to organise a surprise for a great friend. The staff were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They are an asset to the company .

As well as that fab place, lovely food, clean and welcoming.

What more can we said. Thank you for making it a special day for birthday 🎂 boy, ha ha and me too 🍾💐. Highly recommended

10 of us came for a meal for my daughter 21st birthday on 15th December, The staff where amazing, didn’t feel like we where at a Christmas party as we have in the past, my daughter has lots of severe food allergies, Botanists staff could not have been more helpful, the manager came to talk to her about her meal and made sure it was prepared so it wouldn’t come into contact with food she can not have, at such a busy time of the year the staff where all outstanding, food was beautiful and perfect for all, my Daughter was made to feel special for her birthday, live music was an added bonus, we have never had such a good experience to celebrate a birthday the week before Christmas

All I can say is outstanding staff, food, restaurant, music

Apart from the salt n pepper chips bring almost cold it was lovley �

Went for lunch one Sat afternoon with my partner, we were met by the hostess, she showed us to our seats straight away. We asked if we could sit outside on the terrace, she replied all the seats were reserved? Ok, that's fine, but there was a lot of unoccupied seat on the terrace? Anyway, we sat at our table and ordered food and drinks with the lovely waitress, she was very helpful. However, the food was average. We ordered the Deli board sharer to start, at £11.75 you get 4 small plates from any of the Deli boards. We chose the Coronation chicken, Crispy chicken fillets with hot sauce, Polenta and halloumi chips with harissa jam and the Buttermilk coleslaw. The board was nice, just average, nothing special. For our mains, we ordered the Crispy chicken fillet burger, and the Butternut squash and goats cheese pie. Again the food was OK, but nothing special. My burger was a little dry, needed some sauce, and the chicken fillets looked exactly like the 3 chicken nuggets/fillets I had for the Deli Board? The Buttermilk coleslaw was very dry, needed some buttermilk or mayo? I was facing the terrace the whole time we were there, and all the reserved table on the terrace were never filled? So the time we were there for an hour and a half, we could have sat outside, had our food and moved on. Still leaving enough time for the tables to be reset and ready for the reserved customers? Overall experience was OK, food was edible, but wouldn't rush back. Service was good, the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Would probably pop in for a drink if in the area, but wouldn't dine here in the evenings or for special occasions.

Went for early dinner on Saturday, staff were excellent, food ok, but why ho why do we have to sit on benches. Asked to be moved to a table with chairs as there were a number in our party who were over 70, plenty of empty tables with chairs, to be told all were fully booked, we left 2 hours later and the same tables with chairs were still empty!

Place is beautiful. Waiter was lovely. Cocktail was yum. Choice of drinks fab. Food ..... really not good. Ordered kids fish fingers - Son didn't like them and no wonder! Solid, crispy coating and over cooked chips. My falafel burger fell apart & not easy to eat and didnt tasye of anything really. Husbands main of Prawn & cod kebab was like a starter with 2 prawns! At £12.95 it wasn't great. Overall the food was a huge let down when we had great expectations, such a shame. Would come back only for drinks and certainly wouldn't recommend the food to anyone.

Have eaten here twice and rated 5 x service is always good x the food on the Sunday lunch wasn’t great 2 roast potatoes hard carrots and broccoli gutted was really looking forward to it x asked for mint sauce it was a little pot of water with a few flakes of mint x also ordered 3 dissarano sours which where more ice and hardly any drink for £25 was a bit disappointing x I am booked in again for Saturday before the ballet for a birthday treat hopefully will be better ❤️😘

Wanted a light supper with a glass of wine, hard to get chicken wings wrong! But they did, very poor cooking to say the least, had a choice of sauce, wrong one I got, luck warm soggy fries😏 Strange place, dated concept that allows for a cheap fit out.



Staff were very good, good value Sav Blanc for house White, did not have any🤔

Lovely interior, helpful staff drinks menu looked adventurous but unfortunately the food was a massive let down. Very bland and the portions were extremely small for the price. A glorified Wetherspoons.

Disappointed on the whole. Nice looking venue but the food was lukewarm and bland. Live band on a Saturday night not conducive to dining with friends. Sadly, when fed back there was no genuine interest... borderline dismissive. First and last visit.
