Meningitis Now is a great cause and all of us at the Britannia were happy to be a part of the campaign which raised over Ā£1000!! A special thanks to Tom Boreham and Oliver Nutt for all of their work organising a charity quiz and entering into the Guildford Raft Race. Also to Guildford Lions Club and University of Surrey Students Union for all their hard work!

Such a lovely pub, great food and welcomed my two dogs with open arms. Thoroughly recommend šŸ˜Š

User

Stopped off for a bite to eat with our dog. Amazed at how dog friendly it was - have never seen a selection of dog beds on offer, in all sizes! Within minutes of sitting we had a bowl of water and some treats for the dog, and the human food was excellent too!

User

Our favourite pub. Dog and child friendly during the day (with blankets, beds, water and treats for the dogs) and a great pub for adults in the evenings. It has excellent menu's and drinks selection and the food is delicious. The staff are always welcoming and it has a really lovely atmosphere.

User

My favorite place in whole of Guildford friendly fun very scenic and serene great food polite people can take the dog always a bonus and the canal next door for brief walk and once month love the live music events

User

I love this pub, as do my children, my friends and the dog! We love the food, location, ambience and very lovely staff. Most dog friendly pub I have ever been to, so perfect for refuelling and relaxing after a nice walk along the river, or in the Surrey Hills šŸ˜Š

User

Have been to the Britannia a few times now. Excellent service by all of the staff very friendly and polite. Food is excellent both food and drinks are good value for money. We will be back very soon.

User

Friendly with a good atmosphere. Dog friendly. Ideal at the halfway point of our walk along the river wey. Staff are very helpful. Very reasonably priced drinks and food. Free biscuits for our dogs.

User

Brilliant pub . Assorted dog beds and towels made my dog very comfortable after his hike in the Surrey hills. For me the lovely ale on offer and delicious fish and chips revived me . Combine this with lovely staff then you have the perfect pub .

User

Another great meal from Lee's team.

User

Amazing as always. The lamb dish was amazing and the table next to us took one look at the onion rings then went straight up to the bar to order some for themselves. Loved spending the evening listening to live music from the fantastic nefarious picaroons.

User

A lovely pub and great food. Staff are really friendly and helpful

User

We often go to the Brit for lunch and staff food and atmosphere was great. On Fatherā€™s Day we went and we had their roast for the first time it wasnā€™t the best but, they were so busy and staff were so kind and trying to please everyone. Will def go back just not for the roast!!

User

Lovely cheddar & chutney sandwich. The nachos were great too.

User

Lovely Christmas lunch on Thursday. I went for the carrot & coriander soup, turkey roast and lemon tarte, all beautifully cooked and promptly served. Colleagues had the cheese and patĆ© starters and trout with a lovely sauce. Friendly young staff, crackers and warm atmosphere made this a lovely experience - all for Ā£18.99

User

Good pub with great ambiance in a good location staff seemed to be in a hurry to clear up glasses even when we were at the table which was a bit rude i would say as we felt they wanted us out as soon as the drinks ran out

User

We popped in for a drink and to watch a bit of the England/Ireland rugby....we found a seat near the door to the back garden and opposite to where there was a door to a filthy little cubicle that had old food on the raised section in front of the hatch and dirty walls where a young male staff member appeared to have the job of scraping off unwanted food..emptying garbage...carrying out serviettes and cutlery and carrying food to customers without once washing his hands!! He even dropped chips off of one serving and just scooped them up off the floor and put them in the garbage again without washing his hands....there was also a dirty looking pot man whose clothing was filthy picking up 4 glasses by putting his fingers inside the clean glasses to deposit them behind the counter ...this made me and my companion feel quite queasy just watching! I would definitely not eat food from there ever! Bar staff were efficient and friendly such a shame that the hygiene lets the place down.

User

We had booked a table for 12 yet we were split up in to 3 lots of 4, and other customers were using a gap on tables to cut through for bar and toilets. some of the menu like steak was not available, the waiter brought out the food, didnā€™t know what it was and expected us to no? Normally a great evening with great service but very disappointed this time.

User

Poor food steak was ment to be medium rare more so on the rare side. Didnā€™t want to complain as staff where very busy. With a few people complain at the bar So just didnā€™t eat it. When asked how my food was I said poor steak well over done. Oh sorry was the reply nothing else. Donā€™t think I will be revisit in a rush

User

It was one of the most horrible food experience of my life.

I ordered a steak very rare and it was well done.

French fries are a lot better in Mac Donaldā€™s.

The prawn cocktail is maybe the worst dish I ever had...
