Really nice friendly place and staff. Food is good and if you're a gin connoisseur they have over 100 to choose from. Cosy ambiance in the bar area and a good car park at the rear.

We stayed in one of the homes the business rents close to the pub. It’s a beautiful 4 bed located 3 mins drive away.

The quality and surrounding of the home are amazing. The landscape is something special a truly amazing area. The only issue I had was they did not have an instruction booklet on how to work different things in the property like Wifi and heating.

Our favourite stooping off point in the south lakes. Great food and good beer. Dog friendly as well.

Ordered cottage pie which was delicious, full of flavours! And the bacon and brie sandwich - bread crusty and warm, and brie melting inside.. The best was saved for last... the sticky toffee pudding- to die for, all food was very very yummy!! Service was excellent too, loved it, food and drinks came quickly.. View from restaurant was amazing, so tranquil.. Restaurant interior was tastefully decorated. We will definitely return.

Beautiful building in a picturesque location, lovely rooms, amazing restaurant, incredible gin selection, fantastic beers. I'm starting to run out of superlatives so I'll just say that I can't recommend this place enough, either just for popping in for a drink in the roof-level beer garden with its views, or for staying in one of their gorgeous rooms. A practically perfect place in its own right, but it's also only five minutes drive from Bowness on Lake Windermere, if you can tear yourself away long enough for a trip out :)

Honestly one of the best places we have ever stayed, really friendly staff and great food, really great atmosphere. Out of the way so you avoid the hustle and bustle of tourism but still close enough so you can enjoy the touristy bits, definitely would stay again

Food is fresh and of a high quality, made with fresh produce from their own farm. While we were there, Hugh Laurie came in for lunch.

Quaint old place, situated in heart of Lake District, ideal getaway for quiet secluded weekend.

Great lakes pub with real ale from their own brewery. First class food for lunch or evening meal. Very reasonable prices and an incredible selection of gins not found anywhere else. Without doubt my favourite eating and drinking place in the lakes and by the way the staff are so friendly and the service is brilliant.
