Reviews
We were served b a fabulous waiter and felt relaxed not at all hustled. The food was good and we were comfortable for the whole evening. Finally at the end of the evening he deserts were well presented and made a perfect end. Well done to everyone a fantastic experience, and we will be back.
Visited on the 11 th February at 6 o’clock it was very busy and we had a bit of a wait .few tables needed clearing
Once we were seated the waiter asked what we would like to order drink wise ,quick and speedy return with drinks in hand
Wasn’t ready to order from menu straight away so he was happy to give us a few minutes longer .Staters, mains and dessert were all lovely and would return
Lovely meal for 15, family get-together. All of us very happy with our food and all delivered to the table promptly. Service was good too. I love that all dishes show you exactly how many calories were in the dishes, very useful for the dieters at the table. No problem finding spaces for the five cars we travelled in. Thank you, we had a lovely evening!
I took my elderly mother to lunch today. Your member of staff Sally was very kind and considerate to her which I really appreciated. Thank you.
Food was good again just a shame was not what I ordered. Mushy peas instead of garden peas.
Well it was empty but all said.. we got a table straight away and very good service as always.... i’m sold on the cheesy potato skins
Slow start with service, but once we had ordered food was excellent I had the beef duo with extra veg real nice, and my starter chicken goujons was nice and firery topped off with a ice cream thing with doe something, very nice. The young lady that ended up serving us was everything you could ask for, curtius, well knowledge and easy on the eye. All in all my first really enjoyable meal at a Beefeater in a long time.
Got a table for two without booking on a Thursday night 12/418 food was great a steak for me and sea bass for the mrs and few vodkas followed off with choc brownie and ice cream. With friendly service in relaxing setting.
We have visited two Saturday lunchtimes in a row and all was quite pleasant, we ordered from the lunchtime menu. However the first Saturday we were with my daughter and son in law, we ate inside but did have a long wait for the food which when it arrived was very nice. We were in the bar area and a large wedding party were starting to meet up, they took over the entire space and it was all really loud and did take the edge off our meal. We tried to be tolerant, people having a good time etc, but we couldn't wait to get away!!
This Saturday the weather was glorious so we ate outside. The food was good and it didn't take as long to arrive. The only thing I would say was the tables weren't cleared from the last people, and covered in ash from smokers as no other outside seating available.
Was there Saturday to celebrate my birthday with 14 friends n family to others joined later so another table added to ours we all had different food from the menu there was no complaints about the food or server was a lovely friendly guy who we had a laugh with just poor guy rushed of his feet could do with more servers but wait wasn't to long between meal just not all served together some had finished before others got theirs not our servers fought as he had a few tables to wait great evening otherwise
The food was ok not enough sauce for my husband and soggy lettuce on prawn cocktail but edible the black forest trifle was mostly custard and coffee floaters way too sweet but service good
Service was very good but food not brilliant. Starters were lovely and there were a few new choices. The main I chose was not available so I had steak - but chewy! Rest of dish was nice and deserts were not bad. Children’s menu was a bit lacking of choice and main didn’t look very appetising, our son enjoyed it though.
Was glad to see some new food on the menu for vegetarians, however after ordering Halloumi salad I was shocked £11, it wasn't more than £2 quids worth, a measley couple of bits of halloumi and a plate full of salad!!!! really disappoint, as a regular user!!!!!!!
The best part of our experience at the beefeater at swanley was the waitress. Great service. The food however, substandard. The food the children were served was very poor. So dried out and over cooked. The steaks we had were nice but of poor standard. Felt very disappointed once again after giving it another chance.
I would be hard pushed to return to the beefeater again.
Ordered 2 steaks, one well done! It was almost raw so had to go back so we ate our meals separately. Thrice cooked chips were pale and tasted like frozen chips. Not good at all.
Extremely slow service. Food sat at pass for 13 mins before it was brought to us. Staff seem more concerned with gossiping than serving.
We had a horrible sad day at a funeral. So decided as we were staying at the premier inn to book the Christmas meal for 9 of us. One did not want any vegetables so he had 2 slices turkey sausage. Roast potatoes. And a Yorkshire. It would not have filled a child up. No extra meat or anything. Our vegetables were microwaved and hard. We spent a fair amount over the bar prior to sitting down and then the food amount was disgusting for what we ate. We then went to Wetherspoons. Far better at half the orice2
Seem to be under staffed or just struggling in general, floor wasn't busy, it's a Tuesday night..had to compromise on what I wanted to order as the lady behind the bar couldn't find it on the computer?? Chicken and ribs?? She's probably still looking to be honest very overpriced for the standard of food, and I'm not Irish or anything but, worst pint of Guinness I've ever tasted. overall..shoddy, shoddy, shoddy.
Car park too small, waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food to come. When food arrived, it was very small portions. (11 chips) and ribs very burnt on underneath. Not many desserts available. Unfortunately will not be going back. Upside friendly waitress, although very over worked, very few staff for the amount of tables.
