HOW TO SAFELY REMOVE YOUR WEFT while in the COVID-19 lock down -
if you would like a removal kit to borrow of clips, comb and pliers please let me know and these will be left in a safe place to collect.
What you will need -
... π section clips π pin tail comb π pliers π small scissors π patience π self isolation/lock down friend to help
Start by watching this video carefully
Grab some wine you may need it π
Start off my sectioning away the natural hair from the extensions.
Brush through the extensions, take your small scissors and carefully snip the thread holding the weft in place, being careful not to snip the natural hair. Once this has come away, take your pliers and gently open up each ring by giving it a small squeeze to open and slide out. Once the rings are removed, gently pull apart the small knots and comb out. If your aftercare has been spot on this will be relatively easy! How ever if you have matting this may be a little harder but just take your time and be gentle.
Please remember there will be shed hair that is combed away, this hair is the shed hair of our growing cycle and you would normally see this in your hair brush or down the plug hole. We naturally shed from 50-250 hairs a day so over your 12 weeks this can be quite a lot. So taking this into account this is why your hair should not be left longer than 8-10 weeks with a weft before removal as each section is taken to support the weight of the extension, when you shed the section gets smaller so you could end up with damage the longer you leave it.
When you have finished removing - wash your hands and sing happy birthday π
I hope this helps some of you and please feel free to share to any extensions wearing friends who may also find it useful β€οΈ
Stay safe everyone and we will see you all soon
Lots of love H x
