This weekend marked our last day at the shop. Packing up the rest of my things made it hit home this afternoon. Thank you to everyone for all your love and support during the last four years. It has been an incredible journey and i have met some wonderful people and made some amazing friends. 💖

Went to the Moana afternoon tea today and my little girl loved it. The food and drinks were lovely and Moana was brilliant singing and interacting with the children, plenty of opportunities for photos. Thanks

Went to the Harry Pottery tea last night at the cakery! It was so well thought out and the magic started before by my daughter receiving her letter from hogwarts. Loved all the attention to detail and imaginative Harry Potter themed food, it all tasted great too! Want to book for next year already! Thank you x

Well I drove 120 miles to go to a Willy Wonka afternoon tea and it was well worth it, The food was excellent and lots of it, The staff were friendly and made sure no-one wanted for anything,and all you needed was for the grown ups "To be in a world of pure imagination" and they sure did, looking forward to the next one, Chris from Wales

We have recently has two cakes made by the cakery and both have been exceptional. One cake was a cat and was very detailed and life like (and also extremely delicous to eat). The second was a 30th cake with three very life like figures and again a lovely well-presented cake.

We found The Cakery through Facebook when they advertised for their Harry Potter afternoon tea event. It is set in the cutest village. We had the most amazing time, the effort they had gone to was unbelievable from the themed decoration to the cake.. it was magical from start to finish. The food was amazing and the cake was delicious, we were stuffed leaving. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and even took some pictures and sent them to me as my camera died.. They went above and beyond! We will definitely be back! Thank you x

Visited this morning to do the superhero cupcake, both my children enjoyed it (2&8) we'd love to come again for any future cake decorating things aimed at children, any chance you are planning the Disney afternoon tea? My daughter loves princess's at the moment �

Very impressive New Mills cafe cakery , lots of delicious cakes to choose from ,lovely staff, very clean surroundings, Award winning just take a look at the Cakerys awards voted for by the readers of the guides -the Cakery's customers,well worth a visit during your visit to New Mills ..look out for there very popular themed events they are amazing well done to all the team at the Cakery.

The Cakery is one of the best places around to get a cake for a special occasion. Lisa has created cakes for High Peak Independent Film Festival twice now and she made a gorgeous 30th birthday cake for my boyfriends birthday, which was absolutely amazing in both flavour and decoration. Highly recommended! x

Thanks so much for making 2 super personalised birthday cakes for me for 2 very special ladies in my life. Both my mum's 60th birthday cake (David Bowie themed) and my daughter's 4th birthday cake (a helter skelter!) were amazing!! We were really delighted with all the TLC and effort that went in to making them so special. Thanks very much...will be back in a few months time to order the next one for my sister turning 40! x

Popped in last weekend for Aladdin Afternoon Tea. We should have gone week b4 but the snow made it hard to get to. The very thoughtful and kind owner messaged us to warn us and kindly let us come following week. I thought that was so nice and really appreciated it. Just goes to prove what everyone else have been saying about the staff going above and beyond. You certainly know how to look after your customers.

The Cakery is a really pleasant place to visit and the attention to detail made it even more pleasant. Table was decorated lovely and the food was delicious. I liked everything! I hv had loads of afternoon teas in the past and there is always something I don't like. Not here! Loved it all!! Even took some home with me! The jewel cake was to die for! Everything was so nice. Oh and I am a new fan of Genie Juice!! �

Oh My Goodness, we have just been to the afternoon tea with Cinderella, it was AMAZING, the girls were mesmerised by Cinderella, she was wonderful and the interaction was top notch. The Afternoon tea was really lovely and delicious (especially the grey stuff lol �). Thanks for a wonderful afternoon and lots of memory making xxx

I treated my 6 year old to the Polar express afternoon tea last weekend, we both loved it � The food was delicious, the decorations were very cute and well thought out, and my daughter LOVED following the train tracks upstairs to find her Christmas bell present (very thoughtful and magical!) A lovely place with friendly thoughtful staff, and most importantly, tasty food �

Came for the Harry Potter afternoon tea with my daughter who’s obsessed with Harry Potter. What a fantastic afternoon we had staff were so lovely and friendly! Food was lovely and the kids loved the potions! Attention to detail was amazing! Well done to you all xx

Absolutely brilliant time at the Harry Potter afternoon tea. Everything tasted delicious (apart from the pepper Bertie Botts Jelly Bean) so much effort put into this event from start to finish. I visit the cafe once, sometimes twice a week with a group of friends, it's a lovely cafe with a very friendly accommodating owner.

Just ok, will try somewhere else next time. Considering the name the lack of choice of cakes was disappointing, as was the menu as a whole. The milkshake was less than mediocre, actually my daughter didn't like it and said it tasted like milk with bits of strawberry at the bottom. The waitress could have been friendlier and the atmosphere was a bit flat. The sandwich, on regular shop bought loaf, was fine but just that.

Recently went for Roald Dahl afternoon tea. Maybe my expectations were high but it wasn’t really decorated, all the table had on was a purple cloth with a gold mesh and some little small quotes from some of the books scattered on the table. The sandwiches were just plain ones, just egg mayo, a chicken, cucumber sandwiches and an avocado one, my child got a cheese, jam and ham one. We paid £15.95 per adult and £10.95 for a child, the drinks they described as what we thought would be some imaginative creation were just apple juice and a can of pop out the fridge. We didn’t get tea within this we had to pay extra. The cakes were nice though and staff friendly, can’t fault that. Was just not worth the trip, I could pay less at one nearby and get more for my moneys worth.
