First hour of work I have been correcting the dates in a range of #calendars we produce for Glenn Kilpatrick. We have over 100 designs to correct and no help from our government towards the cost of doing this and in addition we are printing free stickers for anyone who has stock already out there.

PLEASE READ! As you will have heard in the news, the government has announced a change to next year’s May Day Bank Holiday, moving it from Monday 4th to Friday 8th in honour of the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to recognise the events of VE Day, however the timing of the decision is causing problems for our many charities, societies and photographers who produce calendars with us.
... So far this year we have already printed and sent out around 10,000 calendars for 2020, all featuring the previous May bank holiday. We hope you understand that we cannot reprint these copies. Not only would such an action cause serious financial difficulties, we have to consider the environmental implications of so much wasted print, particularly in the present climate. We at The Calendar Company and My Local Calendar are proud of our environmental commitment to use 30% recycled paper from managed forests. We also carbon offset our paper by donating money to the Woodland Trust.
If you have already bought a 2020 local calendar please get in touch with the photographer who should be apply to supply a sticker to place on the May page to remind you of the date change next year, should you require it.
