What a gorgeous pub. Staff really happy and helpful, beer cold and as for the nice cream, well you have to try it yourself. Views outside are gorgeous and the pub inside is very nice, clean, modern and homely. Would recommend a visit, in am certainly going back and I live away !

Stopped off today to see the amazing changes since the new management tool over. We had a fantastic Sunday roast whilst sat looking out over the canal through the open patio doors. Can't beat eating great food and watching narrow boats and ducks drifting past. Made to feel very important and welcome. The staff couldn't do enough to help. Thanks Bill. Was worth the wait and you have done a great job on turning round this great little gem.

User

Just returned back from a pleasant afternoon. Nice walk by the canal followed by tea in the pub. All of us enjoyed it especially my wife who is gluten free. Her needs were looked after superbly, the burgers are delicious and cooked to perfection, the staff are friendly and helpful. All round a very nice experience and would highly recommend!

User

Haven't been for a while, but they used to have a fabulous selection of wines, quite different from the ordinary, Honey, ginger, elderberry and loads of others. We haven't been in the evening but it is a really nice place and you can sit outside and have lunch when the sun is shining.

User

Had such a beautiful brunch at the canal turn today. Just what Carnforth has been looking for. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the view in the sun. The food was of great quality, staff were friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend! Well done to Bill and Victoria, only in the early stages of reopening and are already doing such a fab job!

User

Four of us have just eaten here - noticed it as we drove through Carnforth earlier and thought we'd pop in later. So glad we did! Wednesday is Steak Night & so that's what we went for (although the main menu also looked lovely). Delicious and extremely good value. Staff very pleasant and would absolutely recommend this place

User

Fantastic pub in a great location. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and good beer and food. What else can you ask for? Whitney Houston tribute was fantastic. Will be back very soon.

User

Fantastic meal, friendly, attentive staff and very accommodating for a party of 17 including small children! Layout is a lot more welcoming and the decor is lovely- well done, will thoroughly recommend

User

Beautiful canalside location, nicely presented inside and out.

All staff from the owner Bill to the bar staff and waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. The real ales were very good and the steaks were excellent.

Thank you all for a fabulous experience.

User

A lovely meal in nice light surroundings, very pleasant staff who are only too happy to help. My only criticism is that there is no strong lager on tap, but that's just me.

User

100 times better since the new owners took over. Great food, great selection of drinks, great atmosphere, friendly staff, nice clean pub with lots of quirky canal themed pictures and signs to spot.

So after seeing all the exciting posts on FB of what The Canal Turn had to offer,I looked forward to having lunch today with my sisters, unfortunately we were left disappointed. After walking in and being seated at our table we went to order a drink before ordering our meal. While standing there the young bar lady serving proceeded to f and blind with someone else (a little awkward and unprofessional). We ordered our meal, after waiting 30mins,although there was only one other table (already eating),we got our food. The food was ok but a meal was incorrect,so the young lady from the bar took it back,it was only a tuna sandwich but they forgot the salad on it too,we waited another 5mins for it to come back. By which time,me and my other sister were well into our meal. Homemade chilli,it was Ok,although not much chilli flavour or sauce on it. The point from this review Is,I'm sad to say the poor service. The said young lady was very rude to us and put us off coming again. Such a shame.

User

This was our first visit since the new owners/refurb was done. We were In and out within 15 mins. We found a table (since only 4 were taken) sat down, looked at the menu then realised there wasn't a children's menu in sight, so off i went to the bar where I was stood for 10mins waiting for staff. I then asked for a children's menu to be told she will come over once she has found out if they could fit us in. Now there was only 3 of us it wasn't like I had brought a coach load of people and there was only 4 other tables occupied. Puzzled I went back to the table to be told by my mother that she had also been told they didn't know if they could fit us in. Now I understand in some circumstances you have to wait for a table let alone your food, but this was simply disgraceful. So off we went to The Royal at BLS where we had a lovely lunch and who were most accomadating. No wonder pubs are closing if this is the attitude of the staff. As a local can't say I will be back in a hurry.

User

Feeling bewildered. We have been looking forward to walking over to the pub for a drink with our dogs and today was the day. But why would a member of staff refuse to give me fresh water for the dogs to drink? After all aren't you supposed to be a dog friendly establishment. I was told the water in the bowl was already fresh and had been change only half hour earlier. Well even if that was true I didn't want to give our pup the water which had all bits floating and saliva it from previous dogs which had already drunk from it. It would have taken 5 seconds to change the water but no, she couldn't be bothered. There was no one else in the bar waiting to be served, I had even taken the bowl in myself for the water.

I really would like to hear your explanation!
