Tuesdays funeral and wake were a fitting tribute to the late Wobbly Bob, The Carlisle's longest serving customer. Many thanks to those that turned up and thanks to Jonathan for his kind and humerous words at the funeral.

What's not to like.....everything you could possibly want in a pub. Ace atmosphere, awesome jukebox, pint after pint of Trooper! We're from the Scottish Borders and that's our second visit now......spent a good few hours there celebrating being ANOTHER year older. Back again soon.

Went to see the Iron Maiden tribute band last night. Had a great night out with two friends who live in Hastings.

So nice to be able to enjoy a real rock pub. Not enough of them around nowadays.

Will go again on my next visit to Hastings.

So glad that Rock bars like the Carlisle of district. Always a fab night, with like minded people. a real haven in the world for the Rock Community. Debz is a great DJ and the bands always good quality and top notch. a decent stage, bar could be improved with better beer though...spit and sawdust at its best

Really enjoyed the Just Floyd gig at the Carlise on 19th Nov 2016. Typical bikers type pub, which is a good thing. Efficient and friendly bar staff who always seem to hear what you say above the music. Crowd was fantastic and very much enjoying the music of Pink Floyd, very appreciative toward them. So I can whole heartedly recommend "The Carlise" for your rock and roll music fix.

User

Popped in here yesterday for a cheeky pint mid walk. Didn't want to leave...my kinda place. Friendly people, decent prices and great music! Am planning a camping trip so we can come back and spend an evening there (we're from London).

User

Perfect place to spent a lot of time and money and enjoy it!

User

My second home lol, really is the best pub in town, bar staff are excellent as are all the punters that frequent this famous seaside establishment and the music is tip top as always ¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś¤żś ¤żś¤żś¤æŖ

Lloyds bank would like to say a massive thank you for donating a bottle of rum to our charity children in need tombola being held at lloyds bank in hastings from Saturday 12th November up to Friday 18th November everyone welcome to come along and support this event

I played at this pub with SNIDE last night and can't fault it. The bar staff were fantastic, the sound crew were fantastic too. I live in North London (very north) where this kind of venue ceased to exist 20 years ago, my question is, is this the future of music venues or the past? Cos if it's the latter (which I sadly think it might be) the British music scene is in a pretty poor state of affairs.

User

Hi there. Brilliant....Went into The Carlisle Pub, Hastings, yesterday as a treat !! The staff were very attentive and friendly !! Everyone give it a try...The staff are friendly. Comfortable and the pub is the best the tops. Favourite place thanks

User

Fantastic weekend at the carlisle to see the tribute band for AC/DC . This pub has been my favourite place since I have been going to hastings I absolutely love it makes you feel like one of the family xx I hope to continue to use it for a long time to come xx

User

Erm... Well, errrrrrr... Ummm...... (scratches head).

The pub formally known as the Pelham Arms. Built circa 1825, rebuilt circa 1864 with additions 1892 (change of name to Carlisle Hotel). Further additions in 1899, 1908, 1913 and 1920 (change of name to Carlisle Saloon). Rebuilt in 1931 with additions in 1934, 1938 and internal refit in 1960 (change of name back to Carlisle Hotel). Internal refit again in approx 2013.

Good pub, excellent staff, nice customers. A pub for bikers and folk who just don't fit in anywhere else.

User

Don't go to the Carlisle if you don't like Heavy Rock....manky toilets.....piercings.... tattoos..... big beards... smell of leather... people that drink loads and live life to the extreme..... as for the blokes that's another story....lmfao xx

User

Cracking day at Friday Mearfest. Couple of good lads on the bar. ┬Ż2.80 for a JD and Coke. My kind of place. Sadly I live the other end of the country so might be a while before I come back, but I will.

User

Been here twice now with my band, found the land lady to be kind and welcoming and the general client├©le friendly and warm. Also a great music venue, parking is the only issue I have

User

Good space for watching bands from particular genres. It was kid friendly mid afternoon when we were there. I imagine if you like metal and are interested in motorcycles it's your second home, which is great. If you aren't you might struggle to get served at the bar as familiar faces seem to take precedent.

Despite that it's one of those heart of the(ir) community places, and I would hate to see it replaced by another bland chain.

User

Your venue was fucking shit your staff were a disgrace everyone couldn't enjoy there night because of your lousy staff. My cousins night was ruined as a result of this and I hope you guys can work on being more respectful to your customers I recommend a councillng session for all of you twats

User

The staff were condescending and rude. Held an event upstairs and they kicked us out over trivial things which the pub downstairs wouldn't have minded. From the very beginning my friends warned me about the staff being in a bad mood which influenced the whole night. The staff just wanted to go home and didn't want to give us back our deposit.

User

Sat outside with a full bottle of beer. Confiscated a full beer instead of offering me the chance of just leaving with my beer. Bunch of arse holes. Won't be coming here again.
