The Cauldron Magical Cocktail Experience Description

TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE!

The Cauldron is an immersive cocktail experience that uses science and tech to simulate the magic from fantasy books in real life. We offer a 1hr 45min cocktail master class for brewing magical potions using molecular mixology and responsive magic wands.

This idea is a fan-focused and curated effort because the idea that the magical world exists alongside our own has captivated the imaginations of a generation of people. We've got a few different ways to be involved, like a wiki for submitting ideas, Magical Hackathons for inventing magic, and a podcast to follow along with this process.

Go to our website to purchase tickets for our Magical Cocktail Experience.

Disclaimer: The Cauldron Magical Pub & Inn is broadly inspired by fantasy and science-fiction and is a place for fans of magic. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with or associated with Warner Bros. or J. K. Rowling or otherwise connected with Harry Potter or J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. It is also not endorsed by, affiliated with or associated with Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Rivers of London, The Magicians, Dune, The Name of the Wind, Star Wars, or otherwise connected with any one specific text or series. What a fun night! The door was tricky to find at first, in a line of shops and a bit hidden. Room was decorated really well and the staff were very friendly and fully into the HP thing! Loved the little different little tricks with each drink. Definitely worth the £30 per person. Not much hotel wise nearby, but a short Uber ride from Hoxton which was perfect. Highly recommended!

Went for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and had a blast! It was great fun - the atmosphere was magical, the drinks were delicious and the staff were awesome. Some of the reviews below mention that you aren't "guided" through the experience, which is true, but you are given a recipe for each "potion" that is extremely easy and fun to follow (even after drinking the first one!) if you get into the spirit of things. ;) I thought it was great value for money! It was full up for our visit, and we still finished with plenty of time to spare. Once you're done, you can buy more "potions" if you like (they are very cool!), but you can also just chill out until time is up or you want to leave (which is what we did)... the guy at the bar was an absolute wizard with the cocktail mixing! They also have non-alcoholic options if you aren't drinking.

User

We spent a great afternoon at The Cauldron! The place is beautifully decorated, staff is very dedicated, spontaneous and friendly. Absolutely loved the combination of science and technology which made you feel like magic was actually happening. Besides that the drinks(potions) you get to brew are very original and taste good. Will definitely bring friends next time we’re in London

User

We had an amazing time last Sunday for our cocktail/potion class! If you're enjoying life, love to laugh and want to experience something light hearted and fun, this is for you! The potion masters are also really attentive, it's entertaining to watch them creating fire and mixing potions after your class

User

We had an absolutely amazing time at the experience. Our only issue was we didn't have time to do it again! Thank you and best of luck in the future - I hope this takes off big time

User

We had a great time at The Cauldron! The drinks were fun to make - the staff was very entertaining and engaging. The Four Cauldrons beer was very tasty! And we got to visit a “non-touristy” neighborhood in London!

User

Visited for the evening on 9th June , and had a wonderful time . An original idea great staff , and a fantastic atmosphere . Incidentally, I met people who had travelled from various parts of Europe to visit the venue after going to the making of Harry Potter world .

Well done , to you all 10/10

User

Very fun experience. The space was well decorated and the tasks fun. There was even a hidden world behind a wardrobe!

The drinks were very weak, and it would’ve added something special if the “potion masters” were also dressed up. That could’ve been because of the heat, though.

User

This was my second visit to the Cauldron. It was so much fun and is an amazing place. All of our cocktails were lovely. We all had so much fun and I can’t wait to visit again.

User

This has to be one of the coolest experiences at a bar I've had in a long time. Great value for the money! We had fun and left plenty buzzed! They even have more cool drinks you can buy after if you dont want the fun to end!

User

Thank you for an amazing experience!!! We saw this on facebook and the journey from Norway to experience this was absolutely worth it! You guys are really good!!! We loved it!!! Looking foreward to see what you guys are up to in october but hate to see this place disappear... ;)

Thanks to all of you

User

So excited to see this become a reality!!! It's a fantastic idea and I can see myself sat in there playing wizard chess on many a occasion!

Now i’ve been:

Had a wonderful evening at @thecauldronpub it’s an AWESOME experience where you feel like a potion master making cocktails, using wands that work and other secret things to explore! Super recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

User

My husband and I really enjoyed it! The drinks are really something and the experience is better! If we have the chance to come back to London we will definitely come back to this place! The staff is really friendly and helpful!

PS: I’m the oyster card girl haha Saludos!

User

My friends and I visited the Cauldron yesterday as a birthday treat and we loved it! Despite only 4 of us going instead of the original 6 we booked for, we were still allowed to have the extra drinks for the people that weren’t there (as we’d paid for them) and the staff were very welcoming, and really friendly. Some people think it’s expensive but for 3 drinks, and the experience of actually getting to wear a robe, use a wand, mix your “potions”, and the interaction of the whole event, if you’re a magical fan it’s definitely worth it!! (let’s be honest, drinks in London aren’t the cheapest anyway!)

The decor is amazing, most things in there are pretty much handmade and all put together so well! The amount of effort and dedication that has gone into organising this all, is incredible. As I said, we loved it!!

If you do go, please have a look at their website which asks about bringing a book donation - we brought some books and they were so grateful!

Only thing is, it does get a bit hot down there as it’s in the basement, and you wear polyester robes, so just keep that in mind!

Would 100% go back again

User

Easy to book as a group of 3, had a great experience with patient and hilarious staff, and creating the drinks was loads of fun (not to mention delicious). I highly recommend the vodka rose water (I believe that’s what it was but I was a few drinks in by this point and kind of forget the name of the drink) from the Tree of Life.

User

Awesome birthday at The Cauldron - did walk past it trying to find it at first and the area doesn’t seem like it would have a place like this hidden there. The service was brilliant and the drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was great and it felt magical - especially making the drinks yourself. Other bars do similar drinks with dry ice and colour changing but part of the magic was being part of the potions class.

User

As Harry Potter fans and lovers of Science we thought trying magical mixology to make cocktails/potions sounded like a fab idea and decided to go for it! We had an amazing time together and it will definitely be one we remember for a long time. Would highly recommend.

User

Was really good.. just found that the experience can be abit ruined by people getting items way before other tables so it takes away the surprise as well as the room being very compact and hot. However very unusual but think everyone should be served at similar times to avoid waiting. But if your a drink and magic fan definitely worth going too

User

it was ok. we got seated at a table next to a window so we couldn't see the colour change of our cocktail which was a shame because the light coming through the window was too bright . we tried to move to an empty table and were told we couldn't sit there because it was booked, and then that table stayed empty for our whole experience length so that was annoying. The cocktails were ok but nothing I would order again. the staff were nice but the whole experience felt a bit cheap. it looked much better in the fb advert.
