I go here a lot with friends for drinks and dancing this is one of my favourite clubs in Birmingham, it's busy but not too busy it always has good music on, drinks aren't badly priced and never any trouble in 4 years and always hassle free and relaxed with people just having a good time. There is a guy with dark curly hair in a ponytail is a great asset to the club always polite and smiling, didn't have chance to catch his name!!

Had a big night out here last night, I was with a group of 15. We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. We had pre-booked a 'booth' which turned out to just be two tables at the side of the dance floor for £300! We got 2 bottles of spirits, a bottle of prosecco, a dozen beers and about the same in cider, plus 3 or 4 jugs of mixers and half a dozen small tonic mixers. Not cheap by any means, but we all had a great night. Wicked music and no hint of bother. Stepped straight out into a taxi at the end of the night.

Music was good! Prices were okay! Woman behind the bar (shaved head on the side and blonde everywhere else) was one of the rudest bar staff i’ve ever come into contact with! Wouldnt go back due to her and her alone.

I went there yesterday , the atmosphere is amazing, classy and very great for a date.

The food was amazing but the staff don't let you breath it looks like they dont wanna kicknu out as soon as you finish .

The women toilet was dirty.

But its a good place to go have few drink ...

Went there for a meal with my iceland colleagues and only to find the menu on table had no prices on it , when asked waitress she wrote down on a pad and showed us all when we ordered?? Asked for a “Florida orange” and the waiter just looked at me like I was from a different planet , however food was very good

Went here Friday night for our Xmas Meal. The food was ok, but the service was poor. Some friends were due to join us later but weren't allowed in because there was to many man in the group. When my colleague went to speak with one of the bouncers to see if they could come in, the head bouncer aggressively interrupted and said if you don't like it you can go somewhere else. Don't expect to be spoken to in this way, especially when we had spent over £300 in there already! Hence to say wont be going back in a hurry!

We were a group of 9 eating on a Saturday night! We had to pre order off a set menu of 3 choices! 2 courses £18 which is what we all chose. One of my friends ordered a main and dessert which was cheaper on the main menu than the set menu so she had to pay £3 extra. The portions were tiny the food was plain and the service was slow. I was disappointed and hungry by the end of the night. This place is overrated don't bother.

User

Staff very rude and arrogant, especially the door bouncers , very selective when letting you in . Me and my partner was told shirt and trousers with shoes was to casual and the door was shut in our faces, but then they let in a group of badly dressed drunk women.

Private function. Finger food brought out on trays but no serving spoons etc. Had to pick up with bare hands. Not very hygienic. Apparently most of ladies toilets had broken locks and only 2 taps worked at hand washes.

Worst New Year i have ever spent £50 on ... Nothing that they advertised appeared ... No fizz on arrival... no Hollywood entertainment between 7-9 no singers no prizes for best table in fact we got kicked off our table for some people who had not even eaten but were VIP apparently ..absolute joke..misleading advertising ... Dirty ladies toilets over flowing no locks on the doors and one tap to wash your hands .... well the disgusting food was not fine dining as advertised either we had to beg for starters at 8:30 after seeing tables being served their main courses , the staff had no idea what to do just kept coming to the table and looking at our name cards and walking off... finally at 9 cold lamb accompanied by mushy puréed cold veg and gravy no salt pepper or sauces. Desert followed rock hard chocolate torte .... Maybe the management need to start to look at the way they run the place while they still have a job ... i would never return or recommend this to anyone utterly dreadful you spoilt our end to 2017 ...

Went to the bar tonight it was very empty. We brought a family memeber there who is visiting from usa... it took so long for someone to come to the bar even though we were the only people waiting to be served that i had to ask a staff member if the bar is closed. She said no with an attitude. We ordered cocktails and she looked at us strangley. She told us one of the cocktails is not possible as they have no midori. She then told us she cant make cocktails, she would have to get someone. After she chatted at the end of the bar with some staff not serving us we decided to leave. As we went to leave the man asked us if everything was ok. We said no she told us she cant make cocktails. He said ok, thats was it. no apology no attempt to keep us happy so we walked out and left. Absoloutely ridiculous. We went to be at one instead its around the corner so try it peeps.

Went Saturday Night, very busy as a lot if Christmas Parties, got served quick enough at the bar, lager was of a poor quality, went flat not long after being poured, one of my mates ordered a pint of cider and asked for a half pint glass and got half a cider! Another ordered a cider and got lager! We managed to get a table only to be approached by a waiter/barman who said they had a booking for our table and we would have to move he then came back and said we could stay. About 9.50 he came back and said we would have to move as he had a booking at 11.00. We politely pointed out that was over an hour away and we would be gone by then. He came back again and one of my mates wife asked to speak to a duty manager he went and got security to get us to move, this security person said he was only doing his job fair enough I then asked him to get a manager, I noticed he had been talking to male over a railing behind us again he returned and was again told we wanted to speak to a manager, I noticed the male he had been speaking to was now behind us on some steps, I spoke to him and he denied being management when I asked why he hadn't spoken to us directly! The security guy actually told my mates wife they wanted the table for a better class of person! Obviously someone who was going to buy bottles of spirits and not beers and cider! We had been in there since 7.00 and they had been happy to take our money, the average age of our group is about 55 so not exactly youngsters, we then left as we went out through the exit we were speaking to the lovely guys on the door and told them how we had been treated when the young male appeared with an older guy who we were told was the owner these two quickly disappeared again when I pointed out the younger male to the door staff, obviously the owner needs customer care training or makes enough money he isn't bothered about upsetting a few, needless to say that's the last time we will be setting foot inside The Chameleon, just like a lot of the reviewers on here!!

We visited on 22nd of December. When we walked in it looked like a ghost town, and it looked like this place being was run down now. So sad to see it like this as it once was our favourite place to visit. Sorry to say R.I.P Chameleon.

We had to search the tables for our names. Waited over an hour for starters whilst other tables were getting their mains! Completely disorganised. No fizz on arrival. About 15 mins of entertainment if that. We left after waiting for the main course. Complete waste of money. Dirty toilets, no locks. £50 each for supposedly Hollywood style entertainment and fine dining. Joke . Never again.

User

Poor service and disgusting attitude from the manageress. Ordered two gin and tonics (Bombay) paid £13 no problem. Maximum 30min later went to get one more gin and tonic (Gordon’s) and it was £10.20 for one drink. Questioned bar man why such a difference in price and he offered to get a manager right away. Her response was that certain times they charge premium price and I asked when are those times she couldn’t tell me. She was very rude and unprofessional. And seems a common practise to rip people off without them realising. Don’t know her name but she was blonde hair quiet small I think in her 40s. No wonder the place was very quiet on Saturday night.

User

Not very welcome staff and security are rude and customers are rude sort it out and welcome me, stop hating and discriminating me. You should be ashamed

User

New years eve- what can i say just a sham from the moment we arrived. No arrival drink like stated on the ticket and the entertainment was poor. The entertainment lasted 10 mins max and there was not any prize awards again stated on tickets. My boyfriend had to ask many of times where our starters were and again about the main course. They had forgotten about our puddings too no surprise there though! The food was appalling and seemed like it had been sitting around for ages. The starter was pate and it was nowhere near like pate! The main course being lamb was so fatty and cold and the pudding was a chocolate tart which was rock hard! Waste of 50 pound!!!!!

User

Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Treated disgustedly when we had finished our mediocre food, asked to leave our table immediately as the table was a VIP table and if we wanted to stay in we would need to pay £600!!!!!!

We booked the table for 6 people over a month ago and it was never pointed out that this would be the case!!!!!!

Also disappointed to be given a condensed menu, consisting of only steak or a burger!!!!!!

Treated unprofessionally and as though our custom wasn't enough (6 people eating and drinking, bottles of wine purchased along with beers and spirits!!) to stay on their 'VIP' table!!!

Very disappointed

User

Cocktails were a joke. I don't know how you could call it a cocktail!... The whole glass consisted of nothing but about 20 cubes of ice. There must have been a smidgen of alcohol, overpriced, slow, poor service! Cider two small bottles cost over £10.. Nothing but watered down lager, poor, poor. poor!
