We had a meal here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary while staying in the nearby Travelodge. Our food was amazing, beautifully cooked and presented, lovely, friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble! Will definately be back soon!

We decided to try the Chester Moor out as we were looking for somewhere new for Christmas day lunch and after a very bad experience at our usual place we thought we would do our homework. We can't complain - the staff were very good, food was great and the place has a nice warm feel. We've been back a few times and never been disappointed hence we have booked for xmas day lunch and the Christmas Fayre.

The food is fantastic, staff very attentive, pleasant beer garden, very reasonable prices for the quality of food, great selection on menu, good beer, it’s going to become the place I recommend everyone to try, it’s a winner I need to live closer �

Me & 17 of my family had a family Christmas get together today. We all had Sunday dinners with either a starter or a pudding, the staff were amazing the food was gorgeous and the atmosphere was very friendly & welcoming. Will definitely be back & would totally recommend a visit.

Just moved into the area and called in for a pint last night with 2 friends. First impressions were excellent! Ended up staying for more than one pint! Leia & Ashleigh were really friendly and made us all feel very welcome. Thank you! Looking forward to trying the food later this week. Will definitely be my new local �

Have to say we called in here by chance tonight. Fantastic meal all round followed by lovely desert.

All hot, well presented and served with a smile. We certainly couldn’t fault it . We would certainly recommend it to others. We will be back. Well done �

Had a meal here on Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and the food was beautiful my starter was as big as a main course plate(potatoe skins topped with cheese and bacon), it’s a shame I had to leave it to make room for my burger which was also really nice. I didn’t have a dessert but a friend had the homemade cheesecake of the day which was malteaser and she said it was lush! Would recommend it and will definatly eat here again.if I had any fault it would be the price of the soft drinks, I think they were a little pricey but other than that it was great.

First visit to the Chester Moor. Very friendly greeting from front of house. Good variety on menu. Chicken fajitas were the best I have ever had. Very generous portion sizes. Staff very attentive. Will definitely be making another visit.

Excellent quality food , piping hot , plate hot too which was great , nothing worse than hot food on a cold plate. Service fab , good draught variety, perfect height of chairs for eating. Would defo go back and recommend to all food fabulous and great price.

Booked in for Christmas dinner this year and can honestly say it was worth every penny. The food was delicious, portions were tremendous, the atmosphere was lovely and service from the staff excellent. I'll definitely be considering coming back for Christmas 2018, I can't emphasise enough just how much we enjoyed it, thank you.

Booked for Xmas dinner and can honestly say it was delicious couldn't even eat it all the portion size was huge. Cheesecake was to die for. Staff were brilliant to, we will deffo be booking again for this year can't wait to come again for mothers day �� x

Been for lunch today we didn't need to wait long for meals coming out both meals were big portions and lovely. And needing gluten free for one meal we sometimes struggle to find a decent menu to choose from but menu had lots of choice we will Defo be visiting again soon

We want yesterday evening. I had the special burger which was lovely, it came with a good amount of chips and a side salad, my only complaint would be not to put the dressing over the salad as I’m not keen on it I would have preferred it to be a separate pot or given the choice. My partner had a steak and it’s the 1st time I’ve seen anything left on his plate as it had quite a bit of gristle in it. His came with chips, tomato, mushrooms and a side salad which we swopped as his had a balsamic dressing on which I prefer!! For pudding we chose chocolate fudge cake and apple and pear crumble which was lovely. We’ve been many times in the past and we’ll continue to in the future.

Tried this yesterday as was a treat from the hubby for my birthday, food got there quick enough, but service was a tad slow as no-one came to see if everything was ok, as hubby is recovering from throat cancer needed some more mayo to help him eat, staff were just congretated at the bar, was going to order desert but after hearing the table next to us were waiting quite a while didnt bother, not impressed at all.

Went with my wife and Aunt , there food was great as they had the Sunday dinner, I had the steak and ale pie with ( wait for it ) 12 chips ! There was supposed to be vegetables as well , however we had 1 tureen between 3 , so it really didn't share for us all . So no didn't enjoy the dinner I marked it on my food , my wife, aunts would be a 5 ! I also had apple crumble as I was still hungry that was fabulous , would only go back for the Sunday lunch though ! Staff were great

I went to the Chester moor yesterday with a friend and ordered a Cajun chicken salad, must say I was enjoying it at first like I have the food on many occasions but I discovered a hair in my food I took it to the young waitress and showed her, she took it to the chef then came back and said that the chef had said it was a piece of fluff, my friend agreed with me that it was a short black hair not fluff she then replied well all the chef said is you can have a free cup of tea or coffee which I refused, not really wanting anything else after finding the hair. I'm not one to normally complain but I think it was very inadequate the way it was dealt with. We didn't get an apology off he chef or manager just a young girl who was left to deal with it. I was very disappointed as I have been here on numerous occasions but doubt I will be returning.

I wanted the brunch, but I'm not keen on black pudding and asked to exchange it for a sausage. I was informed the chef wouldn't do it. He doesn't do exchanges. Every place I've been to when there has been black pudding on the menu, they've exchanged it no problem. If I wanted a replacement sausage I was going to be charged an extra pound. I accepted on this occasion, but I certainly wont be back. Go quarter of a mile up the Road to the Red Lion where I've been several times & they can't do enough for you. I would have given 1 star, but the staff were canny & our waitress seemed embarrassed. The chef shouldnt be so precious. The food was adequate, nothing more. He should remind himself he doesnt work at the Savoy.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch, which is advertised 12pm till 8pm, table was booked for 6:30pm, got there to find no Sunday lunches left!! Very disappointed but still ordered from main menu! 3 of the party ordered steak and ale pie, after a few minutes were told only one pie left, so 2 people had to re-order! Food wasn't the best, was very hot! Had five meals and not one of us really enjoyed them! Very disappointed and won't be returning any time soon!

Food was lovely however the service was terrible. We had two wonderful ladies take our drinks and food orders. We asked for a kids portion for my Nanna, who has dementia. She got a little confused while ordering so I think the ladies picked up on this and were excellent with her. However. When our food was brought out to us by a different lady she was very rude and abrupt. She made a huge deal about the fact that we had been allowed to place a kids order. She then pulled the lady who took our order and told her off very loudly and in front of everyone. This was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. It is clearly something that is asked for regularly so why not have a pensioners portion?? I again want to say thank you to the two other girls, they were brilliant and did exactly what you should do, put the customer first.
