Well where do I start...decided to go to The Chronicle for a nice birthday meal as I just wanted to stay local. When we got there the staff were all walking round in tracksuits and no uniform which looked completely unprofessional and one was even drinking on shift and another on the fruit machine! Secondly when we ordered food they forgot about our starter which we waited 30 minutes for, and when the nachos came out they looked like a 99p Iceland meal! They were cold plain nachos with melted cheese in a bowl with small sauces on the side costing £5! (Which we ended up getting a refund for) then came the mains which were all cold and had clearly been under the heater and also forgotten about! And finally I was looking forward to having my favourite cocktail a pina colada, so I went to the bar to ask for it and the guy at the bar told me he wouldn't serve it to me and recommended a different cocktail as the pina colada is 'disgusting', so I ordered the passion fruit mojito and it was absolutely vile, the people at the bar clearly had no idea how to make it and it tasted like pure lemon juice I was nearly sick! Can definitely say I won't be coming back here for food anytime soon and it's obvious the staff are untrained and the manager doesn't care about the place because it's gone so downhill since I last visited here so disappointed as I wanted a nice birthday meal and ended up with nothing more than regret, won't be coming back here in a hurry.
