Yet again, we have had a cracking meal. The new menu is full of great choices, it was difficult to choose. The young waiters were attentive and polite and we had a usual welcome from Ricardo. We did not see Kathy this time but credit goes to her skill of getting so many dishes out to such a high standard. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Thanks

We took a chance and called, very last minute. We weren't surprised to be told they were fully booked - it was a bank holiday weekend - Saturday night after all! However, we had a call back after 2 or 3 minutes to say they could, after juggling and swapping tables, fit us in after all ...... And what an evening we had! The food was, simply, delicious - pork belly to die for, a duo of duck I won't forget in a hurry and a marvellous dessert! Friendly, efficient and welcoming staff, no rushing to finish or hurry us out! Don't miss the chance to dine here when you are in Exmouth! Thank you Ricardo and Katy and the rest of the staff - we'll be seeing you again - Anne, Mike, Debbie and Dave.

We both selected main courses from the main fish menu to get the best from this restaurant we suggest thus option, and can’t commend the dishes enough, the flavour of the black pudding mash and leeks with the Scallops was simply fantastic. I had trio of fish including John Dory, Lemon sole and brill, it was simply delicious, we always order New Zealand savignonne Blanc, shame it’s so oyster bay and £28.50 a bottle, but that’s restaurants and we had a bottle rather than two. The chocolate and baileys mouse was delightful but too rich for me, my partner loved it together with us all singing him happy birthday. Well worth a visit for a occasion. Flavours are out of this world.

One final thing, I felt the bread served, (possible rye bread) with the butter was very dry, I had seen on previous reviews it’s normally homemade sourdough which was a shame,

My husband and I were staying in exmouth for two nights and were looking for somewhere special to eat . We decided on the chronicle after walking past . The meal was excellent we both had the lamb which we could not fault , we will definatly be going back if we visit exmouth again.

My fella and I had dinner here for the first time yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious, I can’t rate it highly enough. Everything was cooked perfectly and just full of flavour. From the superb food, the lovely easy atmosphere, and non-intrusive service; we thoroughly recommend The Chronicle. I will certainly dine here again, but I’m going to keep this as my ‘special event go-to’ place. Thank you The Chronicle.
