Mark’s sell-out show Who Do I Think I Am, revealed his natural father was a world backgammon champion. Now the star of Radio 4’s Mark Steel’s in Town, and newspaper columnist of the year is back on the road with a new show, guaranteed to make the world seem even more mental than it is.
Mark has written and presented many series of Mark Steel’s In Town on BBC Radio 4 (new series out soon) and toured it live around the UK. Mark has presented the BAFTA nominated Mark Steel Lectures for BBC2, is a regular on BBC One’s Have I Got News For You and Radio 4’s Newsquiz. He’s also appeared on BBC2’s QI and Room 101.

Unfortunately Comedy at The Civic tonight has been cancelled. The next comedy night is on Tuesday the 5th February.

Happy New Year to one and all. In the spirit of "New Year, New Me" we’re excited to announce that our website has had a major makeover, and is NOW live.
In addition to the new design and layout of the website, the content pages have been overhauled to make it easier for you to get to where you want to on our website.
... The new look site includes changes to navigation for both mobile and desktop versions. For example, in addition to the easier to use navigation bar, you can now search by a specific genre or type of event, search by month, and there is a free type box for specific searches.
On top of all that there’s a whole host of small but impactful changes, all to make your experience of The Civic website that much better for you.

My Sister and I went to watch The Monday Night Group perform Aladdin last night. It was their first performance of this show and they were absolutely brilliant. They were professional, cleverly enticed audience participation and very amusing. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and judging the atmosphere in the Civic, we felt that the rest if the viewers did too. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

Great venue. Was watching my daughters dance school at their showcase. Could do with air conditioning though xx

In pretty much as good condition as it was in 1968 when I saw Julie Driscoll perform "Wheels on fire" here.

Had a great night at The Civic Stourport at the Paul Hopkins Big O and The Travelling Wilburys concert. Brilliant music and great atmosphere. Perfect venue for a concert. Comfortable seating, great view and lots of free evening parking around venue.
