Working away and Popped in here after first choice (slow an easy) wasn’t serving food on a Monday, and I have to say I’m glad they didn’t because the carvery was fantastic, and the staff were brilliant, defo worth a visit, well done

Went for Sunday lunch and all I can say is wow!! Outstanding and efficient service from the staff who are all so helpful and happy. Made us feel very welcome and the food was the best we have tasted in a long while! Shall certainly be returning as the place was also spotlessly clean!

The decor was lovely, soft furnishings were modern and fun and the pictures so pretty a friend wanted to take one home! Servers were pleasant and we had plates removed in a timely fashion. The food was delicious. Our table was split between carveries and menu items and we told when the menu items were about to come out so that people could collect their carveries.

The lemon Eton mess was to die for!

The clock tower arranged for 16 children from my son's school to come for a Christmas treat (and I believe they are doing the same for another school too). They provided food, drinks, teddies and goody bags for all the children, a colouring competition and prizes and lots of fun. The staff were all absolutely lovely and very patient. My son had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for doing this, it was brilliant.

Thank you so much for your very friendly and helpful customer service. It was above and beyond, and our meals were excellent. Best place we have been in a long time. Thank you all. Will be back soon.

Monday is 2 for 1 on selected meals, but we had the Carvery n it was bloody lovely, going again soon ūüėÉ.

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to all the lovely staff at the clock tower tonight.

We had booked at another restaurant for my mum's 80th birthday celebration but when we arrived there earlier it was in darkness as they had a power cut.

I called the clock tower and asked if they could accommodate 21 of us asap and was told yes it was fine.

We all enjoyed our meals thankyou and all the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Many thanks for saving the night for us!!

Have been there 3 times in the last couple months and eating every time, the food is so fresh and the service and staff are really friendly, Heather your doing a great job and thank you for looking after us.

Went yesterday with the Mrs and kids,Nice modern interior and priced well,only down fall was my chips arrived cold and my burger arrived burnt,but apart from that oh and a number of tables wobbled and were propped up by folded menus,that said staff helpful and polite,Will definitely go again if ever in the area

We had food and drinks at the clocktower yesterday and it was fantastic. The whole service, staff, meal, drinks everything was fantastic. The place is clean fresh comfortable I would definitely go there again or recommend to anyone. Re

We go here for lunch and the food is usually good but this time I had the chicken and bacon salad. Normally when I have this in other places and the chicken is cut I slices but here it was a piece of dry children place on the top. It was so over microwaved or frozen chicken that I couldn't cut it. I sent it back and received another on slightly better one but very tasteless. I will go again because the rest of the food in my party was ok. The place and staff are lovely.

Me and my partner had our engagement meal at The Clock Tower on the 30th September with our families and friends. The area we had was great apart from having people in and out of our party needing the ladies toilet, but the kids area was great for the kids! The table setting was exactly what we wanted also, the bar staff we‚Äôre great with us apart from few! When it came to the food and there being 41 of us the lady that was bringing them out was lovely even when there was a extra we didn‚Äôt know about. Everything was great apart from the steak we asked for it medium and they came out rare an the chips were just warm. The guy that helped organise our engagement meal I think mark/mike? Bald guy I would definitely recommend him, he did everything we wanted and made sure everything was perfect for our day as he was off on the actual day! When our plates were getting cleared one of the girls that were clearing was interrupting mine and my partners conversation a lot and we thanked her and her reply was ‚Äúyou can say thanks with a piece of your cake‚ÄĚ so I felt on the spot an did but felt very uncomfortable and rude and didn‚Äôt appreciate that in the slightest. But everything else was great, definitely go again despite some rude staff! Great for parties ÔŅĹ

Excellent value - lovely roast dinner with great choice and lovely surroundings - would definitely visit again.

Amazing variety off veg and meat the beef was very chewy and not nice but other than that was lovely the kids enjoyed their meals too staff are nice and very helpful

New to area and this was 1st place we found. Very busy for 7pm on a Friday but we were served quickly, had to shout at each other over the music though, menu is fairly basic pub food but what we had was hot, served quickly and reasonably priced. Big queue for carvery so if we come again, we will give that a go, seemed a decent choice for a carvery. Limited dessert choices, ok if you like ice cream, but what we had was nice. Too noisy and loud to be a nice place for couples to eat, but nice choice of beers

I had carvery here today and the food was above average. There was a good choice of vegetables and 3 meats. The problem was with the service and portion size. The adult carvery is the best part of £10 but the portion of meat was terrible it was that thin you could almost see through it. I waited for someone to come over and ask if everything was ok but all they did was take the plates away. I called the manager of over a explained to him that I was leaving still feeling hungry and he just said he would look in to the size of the servings. He wasn't bothered I was still hungry. Not good.

Carvery is always dry and been stood way to long and 90% of the food I have had off the menu is shit if you want cheap food I would go penny black

Asked for chips not fries, burger arrived with fries and was sent back with the waiter with far less chips than was on the kids meals! Food was luke warm. Kids meals were tiny. The whole meal was very over priced. We will not be returning.

Went in and had a meal with a mate and the food was shocking. The chips tasted like they were under a hot lamp for hours. The veg taste don't of nothing and looked like it had been boiled for far too long. The sticky toffee pudding tasted off. The staff was rude. Never again!! Don't go gone seriously down hill. Considering I use to work there I went in as a customer not an ex employee and i will never go again.

Thought the food was disgusting, left the chips and vegetables tasted like they had been warmed up after being sat for a while, only eat the chicken. I love out of the area and a friend took me there as she thought it would have been nice. Wudnt go back

Shocking food, if it's microwave mash, chicken to hard to cut into, cold and hard veg then this is the place to go!!

Ordered the children sausage and mash - not impressed at all. The mash wasn't fresh mashed potato so must've been frozen or smash, it was just one lump and when cutting the sausage, not good quality sausage because hardly any filling and the skin was tough. Not the best place food in my opinion

I was greated by one of the girls waiting on the tables whose t shirt looked like it hadn't been washed for some time. She told me how to order and before she'd finished talking started talking to another waitress and to arrange tables for someone else - very rude. My meal was okay, and mum was happy with hers but daughters sausages were awful.



A couple then started arguing across the pub with extremely bad language which made everyone around them feel uncomfortable. This went on for quite some time and non of the staff batted an eye! Not the behavior I was expecting from a family pub.

Meal awful dried up salmon .. asked for gluten free it arrives with some sort of bread over the top ! Not nice

I called in a few months ago to listen to a band called Evenfall that my friend used to be the drummer for, and they were very good, had a good night. I am not local so I suggested we all meet up again last week and have some food this time. The food was good, but the service was terrible. Miserable and dismissive waitresses who didn't listen properly to us. The décor was cold looking and a bit higgledy piggledy for my liking and the place really has no atmosphere. I would come and listen to a band or act if my friend wanted to but certainly not for a night out for food because it was less than average and there are so many other places to go.
