We came here for a Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, even the Manager came and checked on us and this was a busy Sunday lunch.







The roasts we had were a perfect size and so delicious. Our three year old even ate all her meat which doesn’t always happen, so this is a compliment indeed.







Now my favourite part of any meal, dessert. I had the ‘famous’ sticky toffee pudding. It was amazing and definitely deserves the title.







Overall, to find a pub which has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff (even when very busy), which caters for all ages, we will absolutely be coming back and not just for the sticky toffee pudding!

Visited Coach and Horses three times for dinner on a recent visit to the UK.... fantastic food and service .

The two starters & two main courses where fine no problem, the two desserts when they came out were ridiculously hot & to the point of being dangerous after 10 minutes you could just about start them, my partner could not finish hers it was just to hot, this needs to be looked at because someone could seriously burn there mouth, I did bring this to the attention of a member of staff who just said that's what the ice cream is for to cool it down treating it as a joke!!!!!

My 2nd visit to The Coach & Horses. Food exceptional good and the staff are professional and friendly. Well worth a visit I’m definitely going back.

Just been to eat here with my partner! I must say the food here is amazing! By far the best place I have been out to eat at! We had the platter starter to share, pork belly each and brulee and sticky toffee for dessert! All of which delicious! Would definately recommend

Fantastic place to eat, food is very good and reasonably priced, staff really lovely, it was my little boys birthday and a lovely bar lady sorted a candle in his ice cream of her own back, would definitely recommend!

Excellent lunch today for 4 of us.All our meals were delicious and the dessert of the day ( Salted caramel and chocolate pot)was a huge hit! Service by the staff was extremely good - very friendly, polite and attentive. 2 courses for £12 is always great value and has plenty of choice.

Came here for dinner last night for my partners birthday. We hadn't booked but they managed to squeeze the 2 of us in. The staff were very attentive. I had the sticky lamb steak, which after explaining to the waitress that I am pregnant, she promised she would make sure the lamb was well done. It was the best lamb I have possibly ever had and the honey roasted veg were to die for. My partner had the fish and chips, which looked more like a whale, It was massive. Overall it was a lovely evening. Well worth the drive from Ipswich. We can't wait to comeback here.

Always fantastic delicious food. We had lamb flat bread as the salmon salad last night and both enjoyed our meals. Staff were friendly and welcoming and were fantastic with my 1 year old son. He loved his meal and even tried holding our waitresses hand and taking her home with us!

called in on the off chance after visiting National Trust at Sutton Hoo,my wife and I both had roast sirloin of beef and it was excellent,service was quick and delivered with a smile and charming personalities of all staff involved,very impressed.

We went here to eat on a very hot day I came over funny and felt like I was going to pass out we moved outside in the shade the waitress was very helpful and moved all of our good outside I had the paella the rice was undercooked I told the waitress and she changed it for me.. a while later the manager came out and asked if my meal was ok.. I said much better thank you and he said he couldn't understand how the last one wasn't as if I had made up that it was undercooked.... other than that the food was good only had a main as was very hot and was to full after to eat a main.. the only other thing I would say is kids food could be bit more child friendly ie pasta with a Bolognese sauce as my little one never ate much as only had one pasta and the sort she don't like..

Last night at the coach and horses, I had the chicken with bacon with mozzarella cheese topped with asparagus, my husband had the lamb curry off the special board , for dessert I had the berry Eton mess my husband had ice cream throughly reccommend eating here!

It was our first visit to The Coach & Horses....they were very busy on a Sunday evening but after asking for a table for two at the bar, we were soon found one, handed Menu's with our order being taken a little while later. The food was really good...the staff very attentive and we were so pleased we decided to 'just pop in'...Will definately be going back

The food was amazing but the service from the front of house girl was awful. She spoke to us with chewing gum in her mouth. And her customer service skills need a re going over.

The walls next to our table were disgusting and obviously not cleaned in a long time.

But like I say the food was above and beyond

We went yesterday and had the steak and kidney pudding which had fell apart so looked messy but hubby said tasted good, I had the paella which was so spicy it burnt my mouth and I couldn't eat most of it. When the waiter cleared the table he never asked if there was a problem. We had sticky toffee pudding and brownie and ice cream. Pudding was so hot it burnt hubby so mouth and the plate my brownie was on was very warm so melted the ice cream before I could eat it. Drinks were expensive over £6 for a small coke and a bottle of cider.

I've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. We booked in advance and had email confirmation of our booking. We arrived promptly, our names were ticked off, we sat and ordered. After our orders were placed we noticed staff gathered, looking over at us and whispering. They came over and said they had double booked our table. The manager asked to see my booking confirmation which I duly showed. He then said he hated their system and I shouldn't have been able to book. He stood over us and told us we had 90 minutes till the next group. Surely that was plenty of time anyway, we thought? "We need you out by 2".

"OK, well our orders are in the kitchen so the ball is in your court." I replied.

We didn't have plenty of time. We managed one course in our 90 minutes. Despite being so desperate to get rid of us we had to ask for the bill 3 times. We've eaten here many times before. We won't again.

We came here on the off chance of getting a table for 4+ a high chair having had so many lovely meals before however today was a massive exception. Yes the pub is under construction but..... My Nachos starter had a fly in it (the pub was full of flies too) we had to wait at least 45 mins between starter and mains and then when I wanted to change my baby daughter but couldn’t as there isn’t any changing facilities so had to change her in the back of my car in the pouring rain! When I went to pay the bill I was told that last week I could have changed my daughter in a part of the restaurant which had been cordoned off but today the managing director was in with his family and he wanted to sit down there undisturbed. So I’d like to thank Mr Lomas for letting my daughter get soaking wet!! I was also told that the reason for the renovation work was to provide disabled access toilets....so why wasn’t there a temporary disabled toilet in the car park too? It’s safe to say we won’t be back.

But for a vegetarian, the menu is shocking.

Mushroom Dish or a Bean Burger, which you could get from a chip shop.

Come on Chief use your imagination it’s not all about eating meat and fish !!
