Wow! First time here and certainly wonвҖҷt be our last.. king prawn starter and the crab starter is amazing.. chicken kebabs ( chicken tikka) amazing again!!! CouldnвҖҷt get over how nice it was!! 5*+!!!

Went by today for the new menu release, Tiger Prawns were exceptional and can not put into words how great the chefвҖҷs own recipe rump steak was. Fantastic service throughout and at great price.

Use the rear entrance to find out how disabled friendly this place is! Called in for coffees & scones yesterday but have had lunches & dinner here in the past. Whether itвҖҷs coffee or cocktails the place is only as good as the staff, all of whom seem helpful,friendly and efficient!

Today was our children's dance show day and 40odd of use decided after last year to get booked in again for a meal! We are all very greatful for the amazing service of hot food coming out when we walk through the door! The service we recieved last year and today was greatly appreciated! All the staff are amazing! Thank you! We will no doubt be back next year.

Stunning pub, excellent atmosphere, good service and lovely food. Always a nice drink in a clean glass, brilliant selection of gins all served in a nice gin glass! Love this place.

Rooms, food, amazing. Staff exceptional. Our puppies first hotel stay, couldn't be made more welcome, treats from staff...... no paws required!. Lovely and friendly, beautiful beach and dunes for the pup to run her paws off and a park next door so close. So impressed we are going to book again.

Had a carvery today and my son burnt his thumb plating it up. Its MY fault i should have done it for him (hes 7) But he so excited to have more then one Yorkshire pudding! Anyway the staff was fab. Got him a ice pack and the chef kept checking on him as well as other staff. And the carvey was beautiful. And my son was totally fine not a mark on him. I think he just got a fright. I will defo go again

Cant thank the staff here enough! The past 2 years i have booked a table area for a very quick turn around meal inbetween our childrenвҖҷs 2 dance shows and they have been fantastic evertime!! We always preorder to make things a little easier but the staff are amazing and never complain at the chaos we bring! Last night there was over 40 of us and we were in and out in an hour! The gentleman that i dealt with for paying the bill was absolutely fantastic and he even thanked all of the kids for being so well mannered and behaved!! Thank you it makes an already hectic day so much easier! See you next year!

Booked into the commissioners Quay based on the recommendation of family who live in blyth. It lived up to its reputation. The hotel rooms where spotless and the family room was huge with a great view of the sea. The bar/restaurant was also great average price for that type of place. Couldn't find any faults and next time we are up in blyth this will be the hotel we'll book.

Been to the Commissioners a few times before for drinks and food and was impressed. Today went with our dog as they have a special corner for this purpose. Not only did the staff look after us but they also brought a bowl of water and a biscuit for our dog. First class service, and not even a complaint when I had to go over and mention our dog had spilt her water. Thank you

Always a lovely atmosphere in here, the staff are brilliant and so friendly. Came for tea tonight and the food was fab, just could have been a bit warmer however service was quick and there were quite a few of us пҝҪ we always have a great time x

Oh dear what has happened tonight .... we are regular customers and have never had any issues but tonight the bar service is slow, staff are chatting amongst themselves or putting away glasses and not even acknowledging you are waiting ... hope this is just a one off as normally the staff here are great пҝҪ

Had lunch today, beef stew and dumpling with the smallest portion of mash ever. Asked to have, maybe a spoonful more mash, otherwise IвҖҷd be eating most of the stew on its own to be told by, who I think was the Manager, that thatвҖҷs the correct portion size and if I wanted more IвҖҷd have to pay extra! At just under ВЈ10 I didnвҖҷt want to fork out (excuse the pun) nearly another ВЈ2 for a spoonful of mash. What would it have taken to just pop my plate back to the kitchen and put on a little extra?

When explaining #mashgate to the waitress after the meal she gave me a complimentary Latte but at over ВЈ2 wouldnвҖҷt it have been cheaper to just give me an extra spoonful of mash?

Totally poor customer service and if it definitely was the Manager who initially dealt with my complaint then shame on him!

Well the price was more expensive then most other pub but I still paid it , I got a cavery and a drink and cost nearly ВЈ13 pound then I got to where the cavery was then man told me i only paid for a kids meal even tho I paid for a med carvery and there was not many vegetable to choose from however I will be back in the further but only for a drink

ItвҖҷs such a shame, the pub is lovely and has great views but unfortunately after my second extremely disappointing meal I wonвҖҷt be eating there again. I had the chicken tikka wrap today which was as dry as sticks. The chicken was barely coated in tikka and there was no dressing whatsoever within the wrap. For the prices you pay I would expect better quality; I could make nicer at home.

Hi first visit. Lovely clean bar and restaurant , staff very friendly. Had our dogs with us. Did not need to ask for water for our dogs staff very good. My only complain is the food portions far to small.

Heard so many good reviews and thought weвҖҷd give it a try. No gluten free menu and the allergies guide was hand written which didnвҖҷt me full of confidence. Only about 2 dishes possibly gluten free that wasnвҖҷt steak. Only 1 pasta dish on offer even though friend had had a different one previously. Walked straight back out.

For the size of the restaurant and given this day and age so many offer a gluten free menu IвҖҷm surprised these havenвҖҷt got one. No point going back

Visited here last week for 1st time and wonвҖҷt be back food order wrong resulted in chilli down white skirt which is now ruined staff very rude and unhelpful scraps of chips served nachos with no chilli so instead of taking them away they brought a cold dish of chilli and tipped it on top disgusted is a understatement

Terrible service!!!!

My husband and I had an early dinner here Wednesday 02/05/18 which was as expected we enjoyed everything as we usually do. Sunday 06/05/18 went down for a few drinks as it was a lovely day enjoyed our time there. Today 07/05/18 we went for breakfast about 10 am my husband enjoyed his, mine was disgusting this was the scrambled egg (wish I had taken a photo) after requesting scrambled eggs again these arrived and again were inedible sadly I complained and was shocked at the blasГ© attitude of the GM named Dan... it was as if he thought I was making it all up and out for what I could get I will never return and intend to report his behaviour officially, though if his attitude reflects his company I don't expect any response

I've recommended this hotel and had lots of family and friends stay here including my own son. never again

If you're not happy with the service here don't bother complaining never seen such poor customer service from a GM no wonder we received such bad food Poor role model for his team
