The snow makes the front garden even more attractive
we are presently staying here with our 4 year old Bull mastiff, the welcome has been fantastic , this is an incredible dog friendly hotel ,, she can sleep in out room, and come with us for breakfast and evening meals. there is a massive beach across the road which dogs are allowed on all year and a huge woods in the other direction if the dogs ( or you ) get fed up of the sand. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxed holiday with their pet
have been here quite a few times and only ever had great food, was here for Mo Tyson's 60th party and I had melt in your mouth beef, excellent !!!
We stayed here with our little dog..brillant..great staff ..good room and great food..even allowed to take our dog into the dog friendly eating area..another area for guests without dogs..very welcoming hotel and so close to a beach..just across the road...cant wait to go back again..well done to all at The Commodore..excellent .
We stayed for two nights,lovely room with a sea view, a little dated but very clean, staff were very helpful, breakfast was good and plentiful and the carvery was one of the best I have eaten, would definitely recommend.
We stayed a night, had a lovely clean room with a sea view. The bed was really comfy. We had the carvery for dinner which was really good and breakfast was too. Really friendly, welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend!
We recently visited as my in laws have just brought a caravan down the road. What a great place!!! Carvery was brilliant! And we got to take loads home for the dog! Yes it's dated but who cares when the staff are lovely and the food is brilliant. We will definitely be regulars when we are at the caravan!!!
We had our wedding here and all my wife and I can say is.
Thank you for making our day special and the manager was brilliant accommodating.
Staff waited on guests of hundred and still did an amazing job.
Aloud us to use singing waiters aswell.
Was getting on after 9 pm needed a hotel for the night wasn't planning on staying in Weston super mare just traveling home a quick phone call and was booked in we turned up half a hour later and were greeted by Jess who couldn't do enough will definitely make a planned trip again rooms were immaculate and well presented breakfast was great and plenty thanks for the great stay
Stayed last night it was a lovely welcome when we arrived rooms are dated but I found it comfortable and clean the only thing I will say is the two for Β£12 menu Is extremely poor only 3 items on the menu which was disappointing I think you need more of a selection and more variety more Choice that's the only thing I found we were disappointed with was the 2 for Β£12 menu x
So glad i came across this hotel online, my hubby and I wanted a couple of days away to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, but weren't sure where to go. We loved it, and can't recommend it enough. The hotel was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. Staff were very helpful, and the General manager Peter was extremely lovely, nothing was too much trouble, he even brought us an anniversary drink. οΏ½ Our room was beautiful too, really clean and cosy, just what we wanted. If your looking for a friendly, comfortable and homely place to stay, you wont be disappointed with this one! Many thanks Jo & Al xx
Got married at The Commodore Hotel on 8/10/16. It was the most perfect day, the room looked lovely and the staff were fantastic, everything ran like clockwork, my room the night before was a twin, newly decorated, clean and tidy, fab bathroom and great view. The bridal suite was lovely too, lots of room to get ready and very comfy bed. The food (cream tea) was lovely in the day and the hog roast in the evening arranged by the hotel was exceptional, we just want to say a huge thank you to the staff especially Jackie for helping to arrange everything we wanted and Peter who was an absolute star on the day setting out the room and ensuring everything was perfect. Thank you
Found this place purely by accident and so glad we did. We took our 12wk old puppy and we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff. The room was lovely as was the carvery and full English breakfast, plus it literally 2 minutes from the beach, puppy made so many new friends we will definitely be going back but for at least two nights next time as one was not enough
Excellent carvery lunch today and excellent knowledge of gluten allergy so our son has managed a choice of desserts as well

Clean, comfy and lovely food. Ideal stay for visiting my grandchildren and friends who have a caravan around the corner. We use to stay at the Pontins camp along the road but no more......Will be back to stay here on our next visit if the price is right.
Absolutely love this place. I come from cygnet hospital, 5 minutes away. I pop in a couple of times a week whether it's just for a drink, afternoon tea or a meal. Can't fault the place. Staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly. Food is lovely. I've stayed here for 1 night at the start of the year, room was very clean and tidy. Bed was massive and comfy. Would definitely recommend. Thank you !!!
The commodore hotel or pub is a brilliant place to get food it does do carvery but there is other options and choices available would recommend steak and kidney pie and cheesecake very tasty π

Such a shame this goldmine hasn't been cared for. I worked as a chef in the early 2000's and it brought back good memories. But please spend some money and bring it up to date it feels like I was stepping back in time. Carvery, bar area and reception need a serious re vamp. The seats in the bar are pretty filthy.
Good food at a good price and staff were great too. The young lady that served us was working so hard, did the table order, drinks carving meat etc and was lovely. We will be back as live just up the road now
Food not as good as last year and one member of the staff acted like they really didn't want to be looking after us. Not a smile in sight and wanted to clear everything away asap. The manager on the other hand went out of his way to accommodate us and make sure everything was good for us. A good night was had by all of our party and the disco was brilliant.
